Seconds
Moments go by you're gone
you've left me alone
A promise that tears me down
I won't regret a second as the flames rip me apart
Is there a God?
Are they watching me the innocent burn apart
Did you love me... was it all a lie.
Where you the one who lit the fire?
In your eyes I see the flickering of red and gold
You watch my soul break apart
making no move to save me from my worst nightmare
I told you I'd never leave...
That I was held to your touch to your voice to your very being
Days go by and my existence turns to dust
I dance the dance of life and death
fiddles go faster the drum beats get louder
spinning me turning me into the flames as I break
as I give myself over to the end.
I know I should be calm in amongst the pain
in amongst the torture and destruction
Is this the pain I need for my sins
Let them break me... let them tear me apart
I feel nothing without your touch
Nights become never ending darkness no stars to guide me
The daylight reminds me of time spent alone
If I live forever I will never learn
I will never regret a second a minute an hour a day with you...
I stand here... the flames licking at my skin
burning through muscle scorching bone
and I will the rain away....
wish for the storm clouds to leave and let me go
Destroy me...
Drag me under the earth
I am a broken and bleeding doll
dust pours from my glass eyes
as I try to cry...
Would you let me go...
Are you doing this to me?
Letting me crash and burn away....
Blue eyes go black
skin and bone gone and wasted away
Innocence given over to the darkness
misread signs a destruction of purity
and I am gone...
You walk over my soul as it lies in the wasteland
of your mind and your heart....
Let me live forever for a second and break me down in a millennium
