Mama never got to hold you
Never got to smell your skin...
See your blue eyes for the first time
Feel your tiny fingers grip mine
to tell you night night as the light turned to dark
I close my eyes for a second and I see you there
                              See your first steps
Trying to come to my arms to be held
I hear your first words, a Mama so soft on the wind
The room was painted by your Daddy...
                              Pink for our princesses
The cribs set ready but you never slept in them
The clothes folded but never worn
                              Teddy bears sat gathering dust
                              As I closed the door
Mama loved you then, loved you now
Loves you with every breath I take
I may have never got the chance to see you smile
To hear your laugh but I got the chance to feel my heart beat
                              My soul shine with pride.
                              Hold onto one another
                              Hold onto your Dadda
                              Mama loves you all,
                              Mama always will...
My darling girls, one day Mama will be there.
