From the ashes I shall rise
Like the phoenix I become reborn
Re-built and stronger than ever before
I have been beaten I have been broken
I am reborn within a new shell
No more the crying girl
I shall breathe the new air
I shall become the beauty I was before
See my burnt wings fall away
Here I stand tall and proud
False promise and destroyed hopes
Tore me down, showed myself to be weak
Yet, I found the strength to come back from the darkness
I can walk away from the pain that nearly destroyed me
I can smile as the tears fade away from my cheeks
I can become something new
Fresh faced and restored to be true to myself
With a belief in myself that I shall find within
I shall return myself to me.
