Artemis is there to protect me as I walk through the shadows of my life
her silver light makes me feel safe without the love and warmth you give me
I am vulnerable when I am alone the walls I have around me are broken and bleeding
I pray to the Goddess in my mind and heart to keep me safe as I return to you
For wherever you are is home and I want to come home
I break and fall at every turn but still I keep walking
One fateful step in front of another as I wipe blood from my eyes
The memories that haunt me come back and pull me down
I can rise above them all with the guidance you bring
and the words of those who do not see but merely hear
For the shadows are there to restrain and hold me captive from living
yet I will be here in the darkness and the light
I shall believe in what I feel and what I breathe in
The world is not mine to hide from but to open and discover at every moment
One breath and I see the waves crash upon the shore
My eyes close and I see the sun rise and fall to let me live.
My fingers reach out blindly the desperation to become whole is a need so strong for me
Will the Goddess who sees my vulnerability find the strength I have within
to love and to live for as long as the world revolves around the one thing that makes sense
The dust and debris that surrounds us all blinds me
all my eyes see is blue... they see you.
