I can only see us sharing a life separately
Palm to palm we touch
Lips against lips we kiss a lovers kiss
Opening my eyes I see the room is empty and the wallpaper is fading
Where did you go and when did you leave me alone
For right before my eyes I see you still
I feel your breath upon my skin
Your heart beating with mine
This my love I promise you
as the tears make the ink smudge and run
That I am yours now till the days end and the moon fades forever
Only you and your touch can complete me
Only the soft voice in my ear can I believe I am where I belong
That I can stop running and come home
With the last beat of my heart
With my last sweet breath
I promise you that when we are together
It will be home
