Push me I dare you
I may smile the same smile
but you forget to look into my eyes of blue
there is steel and determination in my stare
The smile on lips is the mask I now wear
You made a mistake
You forgot what I was and what I am capable of
I have reminded those close to me
that I am not weak and delicate
I have a strength within me that cannot fade
the flame inside me just builds and brightens
I will remind myself every day that I have risen above you
That deep within I am stronger because of your cruelty
I was told I am selfish and cruel by you
did you not think that instead it was your reflection you spoke to
My heart beats with love for those who matter
whereas I fear yours has lost the ability to remember what that is
Challenge me once more
I will fight for what I believe in
My friend you will then remember that side of me I have hidden
She is not gone, merely dormant.
