JUST HIT 1.1K!!! I know y'all probably think I overreact about this, but I really do appreciate it!

THIS HAS A SONG THAT MENTIONS GUNS
IF THAT BOTHERS YOU DONT READ

P.S. don't ignore the song, it's telling the story.

3:30 in the mornin'

Not a soul in sight

City's looking like a ghost town

On a moonless summer night

Raindrops on the windshield

There's a storm movin' in

He's heading back from somewhere

That he never should have been

And the thunder rolls

And the thunder rolls

Every light is burnin'

In a house across town

She's pacin' by the telephone

In her faded flannel gown

Askin' for a miracle

Hoping she's not right

Praying it's the weather

That's kept him out all night

And the thunder rolls

And the thunder rolls

The thunder rolls

And the lightning strikes

Another love grows cold

On a sleepless night

As the storm blows on

Out of control

Deep in her heart

The thunder rolls

She's waiting by the window

When he pulls Into her drive

She rushes out to hold him

Thankful he's alive

But on the wind and rain

A strange new perfume blows

And the lightning flashes in her eyes

And he knows that she knows

And the thunder rolls

And the thunder rolls

The thunder rolls

And the lightning strikes

Another love grows cold

On a sleepless night

As the storm blows on

Out of control

Deep in her heart

The thunder rolls

She runs back down the hallway

And through the bedroom door

She reaches for the pistol

Kept in the dresser drawer

Tells the lady in the mirror

He won't do this again

Cuz this will be the last time

She'll wonder where he's been

The pistol clattered from her hand.

She couldn't.

What was she thinking?

Murdering him!?

Jake—

What was wrong with her?

She felt a weight in her other hand and realized she had dialed a number.

Annabeth.

She picked up immediately.

"Ophelia? What's up?"

I held back tears, "Jake— he—" I choked out before enveloped in hiccups.

"He— he didn't!"

I sobbed in response.

I heard a car start up on her end of the phone before she hung up.

She was on her way.

In less then five minutes she was here.

I saw her scowl at Jake who was sitting on the steps waiting for me to come out.

She aggressively yanked the door open before slamming it behind her. I heard her stomp all the way up the stairs to where I was. She glanced at the gun on the floor. Picked it up opened the window and fired one shot. It rang true.

Jakes blood pooled around him.

She exhaled, "So. Where do we hide the body?"
