Heyo everyone! Back with the next chapter! Hope you all enjoy.
With both of the Pickles' boys ready with their newfound determination, they both got up the next day. Of course breakfast quickly became a struggle as both toddlers refused to drink from their respective drinkware. Sighing in defeat, Didi heard the house phone ring as she went over to the receiver to pick it up.
"Oh hi Betty..." Didi greeted her neighbor with an exhausted sigh
"What's got you so down Deed?" Betty asked concerned for her friend
"Oh it's the boys, we have to get Dil to eat and drink lactose free products and he's not taking too well to that. And I don't know what's up with Tommy, but he seems to only want a bottle all of sudden." Didi explained
"Sounds like the pups are having a rough week. You know what, I'll call up Chas and Ebony, maybe their friends will cheer them up a little." Betty suggested
"Maybe you're right, I'll also consult Lipschitz to see if there's anything else that'll help with this." Didi said, finishing up her call with Betty as she went ahead to call the Lipschitz help hotline
A little while later, Betty dropped off Phil, Lil, Chuckie, and Kimi while Ebony came by with Savannah and Samayah as the trio sat out on the Pickles' back patio chatting. Samayah, sitting in her prop up pillow near the sandbox, was cooing and giggling happily as she shook her bottle. Tommy glanced over in her direction, staring longingly at the bottle, before looking back over to his friends and brother happily playing in the sandbox.
"Come on Tommy!" Kimi called out to the other purple haired toddler
"Yeah what are ya waiting fors?" Lil asked
Tommy let out a sigh as he made his way over to the sandbox. He had to admit, he was getting thirsty as he hadn't drunk out of his sippy cup since the night before. Tommy glanced over to Samayah again, seeing as she was no longer interested in her bottle at the moment as she picked at the grass in front of her.
"Hey Savannah? Would it be okays if I gets a teensy little sip from your sister's bottle? I'm really thirsty." Tommy asked
"Sorry Tommy, I don't think my mommy would likes it if you tookeded Mayah's bottle." Savannah replied, patting the top of her sand bucket with a shovel
"But it'd be just a tiny sip, your mommy wouldn't even know." Tommy persisted
"Nuh uh." Savannah shook her head
Tommy just frowned as he let out a sigh, this wasn't gonna be easy. Samayah seemed to be distracted with a butterfly that had been flying by her head as she giggled and cooed.
"Oh uh, hey guys lookeded I think there's a cloud that kinda looks like Reptar!" Tommy lied pointing up to a random cloud in the sky
Everyone in response, quickly turned to look up at the clouds in the sky trying to spot the Reptar looking cloud.
"Ooh! Where?" Lil exclaimed
"I thinks I sees it over there!" Phil exclaimed
"No over theres!" Kimi pointed out
Seeing his friends clammbering over the clouds, Tommy took the opportunity to grab Samayah's bottle from her side. Babbling happily, Tommy sat back down as he began to attempt to drink from the bottle. However, at the same time Tommy attempted to drink from the bottle, Samayah had noticed her bottle was gone as she frantically looked around as best as she could.
"Ba?" Samayah whimpered as she began to tear up
In that next instance, Samayah began to wail loudly not only gaining the attention of the other Rugrats but the attention of the mom's chatting on the back patio. Savannah of course went over to find out what was wrong with her sibling before she noticed that Samayah's bottle was in Tommy's hands.
"You tookeded my sister's bottle! Give it back!" Savannah stamped her foot angrily
At the same time, Didi and Ebony rushed over to make sure they were all okay as Ebony picked up Samayah.
"Oh ssh it's okay sweetie." Ebony tried to console the infant as she patted Samayah's back
Notcing Tommy was holding onto the bottle, Didi gasped as she removed the bottle from Tommy's hands
"Tommy! Did you take Samayah's bottle away from her? That's a no no, besides you're too big for bottles." Didi scolded the toddler before turning to Ebony. "I'm so sorry Ebony, he's not usually like this at all."
"Don't stress over it Didi, it's alright." Ebony reassured Didi as they both walked back to the patio leaving a glum looking Tommy and his friends at the sandbox
"Tommy...why did you takded Samayah's bottle?" Chuckie asked
"I don't know...I just wanted to drink froms a bottle again really bad." Tommy murmured, feeling bad for his actions
"You're acting likes when your mommy tookeded your bottles away from you." Phil chimed in
"Yeah you tricked us by saying there was a monster and scared us into dropping our bottles!" Lil crossed her arms
"Oh yeah..I'm sorry Phil, I'm sorry Lil. I shouldn't have scareded yous then and I'm sorry for taking your sister's bottle after you tolded me no, Savannah." Tommy apologized
"Gosh, if you scareded me like that I really think we wouldn't be bestest friends no more." Chuckie commented
"Yeah...I'm glad you weren't there Chuckie." Tommy replied
"I forgives you, Tommy just don't take my sister's bottle no more." Savannah huffed
"I won't, I promise." Tommy nodded
"Let's keep making our sandy castle guys." Kimi suggested
"Yeah!"
"Okay!"
They all continued to play in the sandbox, forgetting all about what had just happened a moment before. It wasn't long before lunch time rolled around for the toddlers as they were brought inside. They were all given peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with some milk, Dil of course getting his alternative, as they all happily ate.
Taking a sip from his bottle, Dil frowned again before placing the bottle down and scooting it away from himself. Eyeing Tommy's sippy cup next to his bottle, Dil reached out for it. Surely, Tommy wouldn't mind if he took a little sip. They were brother's after all! Dil attempted to drink from the cup, only getting to drink half of the milk while the rest spilled onto his shirt.
"Uh oh..." Dil clambered
"Dil! That was mine!" Tommy exclaimed, frowning as he snatched the cup back from his brother
"I only wanted a little bit." Dil shrugged
"But you drankded most of it and spilleded the rest!" Tommy huffed as he got up from his spot at the table.
Tommy ended up tugging on Didi's dress as he held out the cup up in her direction. "Milk?"
"Oh you want more milk? Sure, sweetie." Didi said taking the cup and refilling it again before handing it back to Tommy
Smiling, Tommy made his way to sit back down at the table making sure to put his cup farther away from Dil.
"Now you know how Mayah probably felt." Savannah giggled, taking a bite of her sandwich
"Yeah, I'm really really sorry that I was acting like a baby baby. Only a baby baby takes things without asking firstest." Tommy apologized again, glaring in Dil's direction
Dil just frowned, it's not like he was taking the cup away from Phil or Lil or the others. Besides, weren't brothers and sisters supposed to share? Finishing up their lunch, they all got to have ice cream for dessert! However, instead of ice cream, Dil got a strawberry flavored popsicle in exchange.
"Here you go sweetie, I know you want ice cream but Dr. Schachter says it'd be best if you don't eat that right now." Didi said, patting Dil on the head before walking over to the sink
Dil frowned, staring at the popsicle as his friends and brother got to happily eat ice cream as he threw his popsicle down on the ground. He didn't want a popsicle, he wanted to have ice cream like everyone else! Fed up, Dil made his way over to the group as, without a second thought, stuck his hand in Tommy's bowl, before shoving some of the ice cream into his mouth.
What will happen now? Find out next time!
