Fugitive Dil Pt 2

Heyo everyone! Back with the next chapter. I Hope you enjoy! I would have had this out last weekend if some stuff wasn't keeping me preoccupied at the time. However I do have it now! Hopefully I can get another out sometime this upcoming weekend and if not hopefully by Friday of the following week keeping my fingers crossed here.

Over at the local playground the sounds of the typical laughter and screaming of the kids playing was heard all around. Many kids were seen playing on the equipment or just running around in the grass. One group of kids in particular were also visiting the playground that day. No one other than the McNulty brothers! They were taking turns tossing a ball around, this being their new family ball after an incident a little over a year ago where it was popped by some other kid, as they took turns passing it around.

"Tanner here catch!" Teddy giggled tossing the ball to their newest younger sibling, Tanner

"I gots it, I gots it!" Tanner exclaimed attempting to catch the ball, only for it to fly over his head as it rolled off into the bushes close by.

Frowning, Tanner adjusted the red pacifier he had in his mouth, chewing on it repeatedly, as he ran off to get the ball back. He still had a tooth or two coming in so he was still teething for the most part, however in response his pacifier was starting to obtain a tear in the rubber due to the excessive chewing. Making his way over to the ball in the bushes he got down to crawl inside the bushes to see if he could spot the ball. As he crawled through the bushes, he spotted the ball outside the otherside next to a picnic blanket where a family and their toddler were sitting.

Making his way out of the bush to grab the ball, Tanner spotted another red pacifier right next to the toddler sitting on the blanket. That's when he had an idea, seeing as his pacifier was damaged and he was in need of a new one, he could just switch out his with the other baby's! After all, like his brothers told him, "findies weepies", he found it so now it's his. Removing his own pacifier from his mouth, Tanner made sure that neither the parents or the toddler in question were looking before he snatched the pacifier from next to the baby as he dropped his own in return. Giggling to himself, Tanner placed the non damaged pacifier into his mouth as he began chewing once again; that was much better! Tanner, satisfied, made his way back to his brothers to continue their game of ball toss.

However, it wasn't too long before once again, he chewed through the rubber portion of the pacifier with his already one grown in tooth. Frowning, he removed the pacifier from his mouth, as he looked to his brothers who were all distracted by some other game they were playing by now.

"Im gonna plays with the ball somemores!" Tanner said, taking the ball in hand, as he called out to his brothers.

"Okay!" They each replied

Grinning, Tanner took this opportunity to run off, as he began seeking out yet another pacifier to steal from an unsuspecting baby. This quickly turned into a cycle of taking other baby's pacifiers, replacing them with the old ruined ones, chewing through them, rinse and repeat as Tanner went on a teething reign throughout the park leaving many upset toddlers and confused parents throughout the playground. His latest victim was none other than Samayah Green who was wiggling in her prop up chair as Savannah played peek-a-boo with her. Seeing as both babies were distracted, Tanner rolled the ball by them following after it as he grabbed Samayah's pacifier that had been laying on the ground nearby leaving the damaged one in the same general area. Grinning Tanner placed the new pacifier in his mouth before taking off once again.

At the same time, Didi arrived at the playground with Tommy and Dil, as she placed Dil down into the grass. Didi then sat down on the nearby park bench as she pulled out a Lipschitz book.

"Now you two have fun, Mommy will be right here if you need me." Didi smiled as she opened her book

Tommy and Dil took no time to go off towards the playground equipment as they were eager to play. However, as they both split their separate ways with Tommy heading towards the swings and Dil towards the rocking alien ship, was stopped dead in his tracks, not only by seeing some familiar faces, but also hearing one of the two sobbing. Happy to see his friend, Dil then made his way over to the two babies.

"Hi Savannah, what's wrong with Samayah?" Dil asked gesturing to the younger sibling who was still crying in her chair as he adjusted the pacifier in his own mouth

"I don't knows she said she wanted her binkie but she keeps spitting it outs and crying." Savannah said, before picking up Samayah's pacifier and placing it in her mouth to show what was happening.

Samayah momentarily took the pacifier as she attempted to suck on it only for the infant to frown and spit out the pacifier on the ground at Dil's feet before she started up crying once again.

"See!" Savannah cried, looking sadly at her sister. She clearly wanted to help but couldn't figure out just how to get her to stop crying.

"Hmm..." Dil hummed as he picked up the pacifier from the ground and began examining it himself. Dil then let out an audible gasp, causing his own pacifier to drop out of his mouth and onto the ground, as he noticed the problem. "Your sister's binkie has a hole in it!"

"But hows, it was fine when we gotted to the park?" Savannah asked, "Asides Samayah doesn't have no teeth to biteded a hole into it."

"I don't knows.." Dil replied, as he too wondered how the pacifier got damaged

Spotting Dil's pacifier on the ground, Savannah picked it up to hand it back to Dil.

"Oh here you goes Dil you droppeded your binkie." Savannah said, before she then noticed the hole that was forming in Dil's pacifier. "Hey wait...Your binkie has a hole in it too...You're the one that had to biteded a hole in my sister's binkie!" Savannah frowned, accusing the orange haired toddler

"What nos I didn't! I'd never dos that!" Dil defended

"Well who else could it have beens then? You're the onlyiest baby I knows that still uses a binkie and we were just at your house only a few yesterdays ago you could have dones it then!" Savannah explained with a frown, full on believing that Dil was the culprit behind the biting fiasco.

"Savannah you gots to believes me I wouldn't dos that!" Dil argued

"If you're not even going to says that you're sorry then goes away! I don't want to play with you!" Savannah fumed as she crossed her arms turning her attention back to her younger sibling.

"But I didn't dos it...I won't say sorry for something I didn't dos..." Dil muttered yet Savannah didn't budge as she ignored him.

With no success in convincing Savannah otherwise, Dil slumped his shoulders sadly as he went to sit under a tree nearby. At the same time, Teddy McNulty was running by on his way to the equipment when he overheard the conversation between Savannah and Dil. Gasping at the news he just learned of Dil biting and destroying other kids' binkies as he quickly ran to the nearest group of kids, most of which were some kids that had their binkies bitten and destroyed.

"Hey everybody, Dil Pickles is a binky biting thief! He tookeded that girl's little sister's binkie and bited it when they played over at his house!" Teddy yelled, getting the attention of the group of kids, as he pointed over to Dil

Being in earshot, Dil also overheard Teddy's accusation as he let out a fearful gasp as the group of kids angrily glared at him. Quickly getting up from his spot in the grass, Dil ducked into the nearest set of bushes to hide away. He then began crawling through them to avoid any other kids that may have overheard Teddy. Unfortunately for the one year old, the "news" of his binkie biting had spread very quickly across the playground. Peeking out of the bush, Dil tried to look for Tommy anywhere nearby with no luck. Of course hearing a small commotion of someone coming near the bush, Dil ducked back in to hide as he listened. Two boys walked by the bush as Dil heard what they were talking about...it was about him.

"Did you hears that one kid?" One boy asked

"Yeah! He said that Dil Pickles kid goes around taking other kids' binkies and biting thems until they're brokeded." The other replied

"Uh huh uh huh!" The first boy nodded

"If I ever see that Dil kid and he tries to take and bite my binkie until it's brokded I'll show him!" The other boy continued

"Yeah!"

Dil winced as he listened to the two toddlers. This wasn't good at all! He had to find Tommy...and fast!
