Hello hello everyone! Hope you all are having a good weekend. We're moving right along into the next story within the story. Hope you all enjoy! I've had an energy boost with my writing today so I'll be treating you all with two chapters! Once this chapter is up, the other shall be posted soon after.
Another couple days had gone by as the weather really was starting to finally warm up as the moms found themselves getting together to take the babies out to the park to play together. Watching the toddlers all run off to play, with the exception of Samayah who was playing with some of her own toys on a blanket next to the picnic table, the moms all waved to the kids, ensuring them that they'd be nearby.
"Don't you kiddos run off too far." Betty said
"Yes, we'll all be right here if you need us." Didi added in
With that Didi and Betty turned back to the table to chat with Kira and Ebony as they commented on how big the kids were getting.
"I can't believe how fast time flies, it seemed like only yesterday that Kimi was rolling over for the first time. Now soon she and the others will be going to preschool." Kira sighed
"Oh don't I know it, even Samayah seems to be growing up too fast. Now that she's gotten sitting up mastered it won't be too long before she attempts crawling around full time." Ebony chuckled, looking down at her youngest daughter who was happily babbling away as she played with some stacking cups
"That reminds me, ya hear that they've gone ahead and opened up those trial evaluations for the Woodbury Preschool? Heard that place got a bit of a renovation and they're gonna be taking in more kids now." Betty asked the other moms
"Oh yes, I remember hearing about that! You think maybe we should see if we can get the kids in? I know it's one of the more fancier preschools but if they're opening up to everyone I wouldn't see the harm in getting the kids evaluated." Didi replied, questioning if sending Tommy to Woodbury would be a good idea.
"I think the only issue to really worry about is, all of the pups might not get in. Between you and me I don't think they'd be too keen on being separated from one another after being with each other for so long." Betty noted, glancing over at the kids who were playing in the sandbox making several sandcastles.
"Betty's right, it wouldn't be right to split them up." Kira agreed
"Well, how about we let them go for the evaluation, see how they do, and if the school doesn't accept all of them we just agree to send them to the community center preschool?" Didi suggested
"That doesn't sound like too bad of an idea." Kira answered
"Yeah, besides better getting this out of the way now instead of trying to scramble to do it later." Betty voiced out to the group, which everyone agreed.
"Sounds like you all have it settled then." Ebony remarked
Waiting until it was time for lunch, the moms and babies all ended up heading over to the Java Lava. Getting the kids settled in at the kid table they set up in the playpen, Didi decided to mention the exciting news.
"Oh kids, we have some exciting news! We just learned that the Woodbury Preschool has opened up evaluations which means you all will be getting to go to a test version of preschool very soon." Didi announced
This had the toddlers let out an audible gasp as they looked around the table at each other. They knew preschool was something they were going to have to deal with, but they didn't think it'd be this soon. As the babies enjoyed their lunch of fried bologna sandwiches and some juice boxes of their choice, they all started discussing what was ahead for them in the near future.
"I didn't knows there was gonna haves to be a test to gets into preschool." Chuckie stammered, nervous about the idea in general
"Oh Chuckie, we should be fine." Kimi said, patting her brother's shoulder to hopefully calm him down
"Kimi's probably right, asides it'd be pretty neat to see what it's like to be in preschool without actually being in preschool." Tommy said, taking a bite of his sandwich before continuing. "The closest I gots was when Angelica went to preschool theres and she broughted me there with her one time so I could plays with the other kids." Tommy recalled, thinking back to when Angelica, in her short attendance at the Woodbury school, brought him along as a show and tell thing.
"What was that likes?" Dil asked
"Hmm I member they had a baby room specially for babies like I was then and I gots to play with all kinds of neat toys. The other big kids were really nice toos." Tommy answered
"Well if it's anything like that, count mes in!" Phil exclaimed
"Yeah! Going to preschool sounds like lots of fun." Lil added in
While the toddlers clammbered in excitement about attending preschool, Angelica had arrived with Taffy, who had picked her up from preschool that day, as they both entered the Java Lava.
"Hey Taffy, Hey Angelica!" Didi waved to the two as they made their way in. "Thank you for picking her up Taffy. I know it was last minute, but we weren't informed that Drew was running late until we were already here."
"No problem Mrs. P, you know I don't mind at all when it comes to Angelica and the minis." Taffy said
While Taffy and Didi continued talking, Angelica took notice of the babies seemingly happy about something.
"Oh boy, I wonder what's got those drooly babies so happy this time." Angelica said to Cynthia as she turned to walk towards the playpen.
"Hi Angelica!" Kimi exclaimed, noticing the blonde haired 4 year old was coming towards the playpen
"I know it's gonna probably be something dumb, but what's got you all so excited?" Angelica questioned, leaning on the playpen
"Oh well our mommies tolded us that we're gonna takes a test to see if we can goes to preschool and we're kinda ascited to tries it out." Tommy answered
Clicking her tongue, Angelica began shaking her head as she let out a sigh. "Oh cousin Tommy, you may find it exciting now but you'll finds out really soon that preschool isn't all you thinks it is."
"What do you means, Angelica?" Lil asked
"Yeah, I thoughts you had fun learning all sorts of stuffs at preschool?" Kimi questioned as well
"Well of course I'm having fun. But the thing is, if you don't already knows what you wants to be when you grow up you may as well kiss your chances at preschool goodbye. They only lets the smart kids that gots their whole lives together in preschool, like mes, when I'm growed up I'm gonna be the queen of the world. Besides, as far as I know, you drooly babies do not have your lives together." Angelica lied with a smirk
"We do too!" Chuckie retorted
"Sure you do, Finster." Angelica scoffed, moving away from the playpen. "I wish you good luck babies, you're gonna need it."
Humming evilly to herself, Angelica skipped away from the playpen leaving the babies wondering if they really were ready to go to preschool after all.
Will the babies be able to get into preschool? Find out next time!
