Heyo everyone! Happy weekend and hope you're all doing well. I on the other hand, unfortunately, caught Covid leaving me with flu like symptoms since Thursday leaving me mostly bedridden cause of a fever giving me chills. Fortunately today I'm up and well enough and decided to finish up this chapter! Anyway hope you all enjoy!
Each of the kids of course imagined they were all actually participating in the olympics of course modified to what little knowledge of said event they had.. All the teams were neck and neck at the start, however Tommy and Dil's sled began pulling ahead just a bit. Phil and Lil weren't too far behind them, almost passing Tommy and Dil's sled, however unknowingly the twins sled bumped into a rock causing them to fall off their sled as they landed on their backs in the snow. However, not minding too much, the twins giggled as they began making snow angels together but either way it seems like they were out for this event seeing as they were more interested in the snow than continuing with the race.
With the three remaining teams continuing their race down the mountain, Kimi and Chuckie had fallen slightly behind leaving it a close call between Tommy and Dil and Savannah and Tanner. Both teams were neck in neck as they approached the bottom of the mountain. However Tommy and Dil managed to pull ahead at the last second as they ended up reaching the bottom of the mountain first.
"Yay! We won!" Tommy cheered
"Nice one guys, we almost beated you." Savannah giggled, stepping off the sled
"That was lots of fun!" Kimi exclaimed hopping off the sled
"I'm just glad it's over." Chuckie said
Seeing as the race was complete, Timmy made his way over to the group.
"Alright, that gives the Pickles team one point seeing as they won the first event. And since the twins didn't finish the race they're discquailified but they can still helps out with the nextest event." Timmy said
"What's nextest, Timmy?" Tanner asked
"Seeing as the Pickles got a point that means you, Savannah, and the Finsters will do this nextest event. Whoever wins the nextest one gets to compete with the Pickles in the big finale event." Timmy started to explain
Timmy then lead the group over to the frozen over lake where many other kids were also playing on one side each one doing their own thing whether it was ice skating or just sliding around on the ice in general with their sleds.
"The nextest event you babies will be doing is ice hockey, that's a game where you use sticks to hit around this rubber thing called a puck into a goal. Of course we'll have to make do with what we has since this isn't the real 'lympics." Timmy explained turning to his other siblings. "Alright, Terry you finds something that we could use as a puck, Todd and Ty you draws the lines in the ice with some sticks, and Teddy you find some really long sticks that we can use as hockey sticks." Timmy instructed
Without missing a beat, each of the McNulty brothers did as instructed as they set up the makeshift hockey ring. Terry ended up going and grabbing one of Tanner's round teething rings in the diaper bag that their mom had brought to the park while Teddy some decent sized sticks that were sticking out of the snow. While they did that, Timmy continued to talk to the Rugrats and Tanner.
"Now this is where you twins can help, since the Finster's, Tanner, and Savannah are gonna be the ones playing the game. Each team needs a goldie to block the puck's shots from getting across the goal line. Phil you'll be the goldie for Savannah and Tanner and Lil you'll be the goldie for Kimi and Chuckie." Timmy explained
"Neat!" Phil exclaimed
"Okay, we can dos that!" Lil also exclaimed
By the time Timmy finished his explanation, the other McNulty brothers had finished getting everything set up as the makeshift ring was finally ready to go. Phil and Lil also took their places at the goal lines ready whenever everyone else was.
"Alright you babies, the rules are simple, you have to get the puck past the goldie and the line of the goal. That means Tanner and Savannah will have to get the puck past Lil and Chuckie and Kimi will have to get it past Phil. And whichever team gets 3 whole goals is the winner of the game and will get to be in the finale event. Got it?" Timmy explained, asking the two teams if they understood the rules
"Uh huh! We gots it." Kimi said with a nod
"Okay! Then let the games begin! When I give the signal, you guys go." Timmy said, placing the teething ring on the ice between Kimi and Tanner. "Ready...Go!"
Timmy then moved out of the way over to the side of the lake with the others as the game began. Kimi got a hold of the teething ring with her stick first as she ended up pushing it towards the direction of Phil and the goal line. As quick as possible, without slipping of course, Savannah and Tanner both chased down Kimi. Chuckie also followed slightly behind, taking it slow seeing as he didn't want to fall either. Tanner managed to get the puck away from Kimi as he began making his way back to the otherside. Watching the game take place, Tommy and Dil cheered for both teams excited to see how the outcome of the game would unfold. As the game continued it turned into another moment of the kids all imagining they were actually in the olympics playing said game with Teddy as an announcer for the hockey game.
"And as you can all sees right now, Tanner McNulty has the puck and is making his ways towards the goal." Teddy announced
As Tanner continued pushing the teething ring, he was then blocked by Kimi getting in his pathway as he frowned.
"Ooh and it looks like Kimi Finster has moveded in to stops Tanner." Teddy said
"Over here, Tanner!" Savannah called out from behind Kimi on the left side wanting him to pass the ring to her
Doing just that, Tanner hit the ring as he passed the teething ring over to Savannah who continued her way to the goal. Getting up close to where Lil was at the goal line, Savannah hit the teething ring with the stick as the ring slid past Lil and the line giving Savannah and Tanner the first point of the game!
"Yay! Alright Savannah!" Dil cheered
"And the firstest point out of three goes to Savannah and Tanner!" Teddy announced once again
"Nice one! We gots this in the bag." Tanner said, coming over to stand next to Savannah
"Don't forgets you has to get three points, you guyses only got one so far." Kimi giggled as she slid by on the ice like she was actually in ice skates
Timmy, dressed as a referee, made his way back to the center of the ring as the two teams met in the middle again. Setting the teething ring down again, each of the competing babies got into position ready to go again.
