"This is the story of the Incy Wincy Centipede..." Ms. Appleby spoke as she showed the cover of the book to the class.

Opening the book to the first page, Ms. Appleby began reading out loud. Tommy immediately recognized the story title, it was the same one that the library kid storyteller told the one time Chuckie, Kimi, and himself went to the library. They never really got to hear the full story due to having to help Chuckie find his lost library card at the time, but one thing for sure was: Tommy wasn't interested in the story whatsoever. Tommy just watched as each of the kids around him, including his friends, got up and sat down as Mrs. Honeyberry continued down the list of students for their evaluation. Luckily for Tommy, his turn soon came, and in his mind it wasn't a moment sooner.

"Alright, are you ready for your evaluation, Tommy?" Mrs. Honeyberry asked

"Uh huh!" Tommy nodded, shooting up from his spot quickly to follow Mrs. Honeyberry

Making the way over to the desk pod, she had Tommy take a seat at the desk as she began preparing the first few things.

"Okay Tommy, lets start with something easy. Can you say your first and last name for me?" Mrs. Honeyberry asked

"Uh huh, Tommy Pickles!" Tommy immediately replied

"Good!" Mrs. Honeyberry praised, scribbling down on her clipboard before she pulled forward a sheet of paper that had several numbers in boxes. "Now we're going to start with how many numbers you know. Lets start with this one, do you know what this number is?"

Tommy looked down at the sheet as Mrs. Honeyberry pointed to the first box which had the number three in it. Pondering for a brief moment, Tommy thought about where he had seen that number before and it immediately clicked.

"Three!" Tommy answered confidently, how could he not know that number, that's how old his best friend was and he soon would be turning four.

"Awesome job! Let's keep going!" Mrs. Honeyberry praised the purple haired toddler again

Continuing to go through the numbers, Tommy managed to get all but two correct as he mistaked the six for a nine and a zero for another eight. Mrs. Honeyberry also had Tommy count as high as he could, however he could only really count to five before he started counting out of order. Mrs. Honeyberry of course marked this down on the sheet she was filling out.

"Good, now we're going to do letters." Mrs. Honeyberry mentioned, switching out the numbers sheet for a sheet with randomized capital letters. "Now, how about this one?" Mrs. Honeyberry asked pointing to the letter T.

"That's a..uh.." Tommy hesitated looking at the letter before grinning, "T! Likes in my name!" Tommy giggled

"Great job! That is a letter in your name. Lets keep going." Mrs. Honeyberry smiled as she pointed to the next letter.

"A!" Tommy exclaimed

Tommy continued to name off letters to the best of his ability, of course he only managed to get about fourteen of the letters correct with the capital letters and getting only twelve correct in lower case letters, showing Mrs. Honeyberry that he still also needs some work in the alphabet department.

"Alright Tommy, now we're going to see how many colors you know." Mrs. Honeyberry said, finishing up writing on her sheet before switching out the letters for a sheet with colored circles.

Nodding, Tommy looked down at the first circle as he ended up confidently blurting out his answer.

"Green!" Tommy exclaimed

"Actually sweetie, that's purple. The one next to it is green." Mrs. Honeyberry corrected the toddler, scribbling down on her sheet with a concerned look.

"Oh..." Tommy slumped in embarrassment. He knew his green and purples, he just well sometimes got the two colors mixed up.

"Don't worry, let's just keep on going. You're still doing great." Mrs. Honeyberry reassured the purple haired toddler as he pretty much breezed the rest of his way through his colors.

Tommy could only feel slightly nervous, after all he knew he was doing his best but he was also aware when he messed up. Taking a deep breath, he watched as Mrs. Honeyberry pulled out what was the last sheet.

"Alright, just one more sheet Tommy. After this the only thing left for your evaluation will be done tomorrow." Mrs. Honeyberry smiled. "Now can you tell me what shape this one is?"

Tommy, of course, leaned forward again to look over at the shape she was referring to.

"That's a square." Tommy answered

"Good! And this one?" Mrs. Honeyberry asked pointing to the next

"Fryangle!" Tommy answered

"That's Triangle sweetie, but yes you're right." Mrs. Honeyberry chuckled, noting down on her sheet again.

"Triangle, gots it!" Tommy said with a grin

Tommy only managed to get five out of the eight in this portion of the evaluation as he called an oval an egg, along with a diamond another square, and he didn't even know the name for the rectangle.

"You did a great job, Tommy! And look at that Ms. Appleby has also finished the story which means it's now time for lunch and recess." Mrs. Honeyberry grinned, patting Tommy's shoulder

Seeing as he was excused, Tommy went back over to his friends as Mrs. Honeyberry and Ms. Appleby let the children know what the plan was for the rest of the day.

"Alrighty everyone, Mrs. Honeyberry has finished her evaluations, and it's lunch time! We're going to go eat, then we're going to let you all play outside. After that we'll have a nice nap, and we'll end off the day with a movie until it's time to go home!" Ms. Appleby announced getting excited cheers from the group of toddlers

With that, Mrs. Honeyberry and Ms. Appleby had the children grab their lunches as they then led all their future students to the cafeteria to have their lunch. Getting everyone settled in, the Rugrats all peacefully ate their lunch as they all began talking about the evaluation test.

"Does anyone else thinks those tests were pretty hard? Acause I do, I didn't knows there was so much stuffs we needed to know to go to preschool." Phil huffed, taking a bite of his peanut butter sandwich.

Phil got murmurs of agreement from everyone except Chuckie and Kimi who both just shrugged to each other.

"I don't knows, it actually wasn't so bads! I actually knoweded almost all the stuffs they askeded me!" Kimi exclaimed

"Yeah, actually me toos, I knowed a lot more stuffs than I thoughts I did." Chuckie added in, feeling proud of himself

"Wow, that's great Chuckeroo!" Tommy exclaimed with a grin.

Tommy, while glad his best friend had such an easy time with his own test, suddenly felt uneasy. If even Chuckie had an easy time on the tests, what did that say about him? He couldn't even get his colors right! It wasn't fair! Tommy could only continue eating his lunch, making small talk to ensure he didn't worry his friends. However, not knowing as much as Chuckie wasn't the only thing he was going to realize was part of the price of going to preschool and it wouldn't be much longer before he found out.

What is in store for Tommy next? Find out next time!
