Hello hello everyone! Happy labor day weekend. Hope you all are doing well and I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

Reaching Dil's room upstairs, Tommy made his way over to the attic door as he grabbed the doorknob and turned it. Pulling the door open, the two brothers were now face to face with the stairs that led up to the dimly lit attic.

"Do you thinks there really is a monster up theres, Tommy? Or or maybe an alieum spy trying to kidlap us?" Dil questioned with worry as he glanced up the stairs

"I don't knows, but I'm gonna finds out. Come on." Tommy replied, scooping up a toy flashlight that was lying on Dil's bedroom floor.

Turning on the flashlight, Tommy made his way towards the stairs as Dil, hesitantly, followed behind his brother. Going up stairs together, Tommy and Dil made their way into the attic as Tommy flashed the light around the attic space. Of course, nothing necessarily looked out of the ordinary, the space was filled with many boxes of items, all with various labels on each of them. The only real noticeable thing was a stack of the boxes lying near the foot of the stairs lying toppled over in a row. Very likely what was part of what caused the one box to fall downstairs the previous night.

"See, see there has to be a monster! What else could have causeded those boxes to falls?" Dil asked

"Well, if they were puts up likes our blocks they could have just falleded over by themselves." Tommy answered, toddling over to investigate the stack of boxes.

Before either brother could say another word, the sounds of something shuffling and what sounded like scratching nearby.

"What was that?" Dil asked

"I don't knows..." Tommy murmured in reply

Shining the light around the various boxes and items littered in the attic, Tommy and Dil both tried to look for the source of the sound. That's when the sounds happened again, only behind the two causing both brothers to quickly turn to investigate.

"They're everywheres! We're going to get eated!" Dil yelled, clutching onto Tommy in fear

For some reason Tommy felt a sense of familiarity about the situation but couldn't quite recall what about it seemed familiar. Continuing to shine the light around for any sign of the "monster" that was in their attic, Tommy spotted something near one of the old boxes as he creeped his way closer to investigate. Suddenly, as Tommy was creeping closer, a few shadow figures appeared in the lighting making it look like a monster with several heads. Seeing this, both boys loudly scream as Tommy dropped the flashlight in the process, alerting both Stu and Didi up to Dil's room in a panic.

Realizing the boys were up in the attic both parents quickly made their way up the stairs. Seeing their parents, Tommy and Dil ran to them as they both grabbed onto Didi's legs.

"Kids, what's going on?!" Didi asked, wondering what her children where yelling about

"M-Monster!" Tommy yelled, pointing over to where the flashlight was pointing towards the boxes

Stu and Didi both gave each other a look as Stu then made his way over to investigate the boxes for the so-called "monster". Moving a couple of the boxes out of the way, Stu suddenly jumped back as he too let out a scream

"Mice! Lots of them!" Stu yelled, scrambling to get out of the attic

"Oh my, come on kids, let's get out of here before they escape from up here. Looks like I'll be calling the exterminator." Didi said, ushering the two boys back down the stairs and shutting the attic door behind her to ensure the boys didn't go back up.

Getting the boys settled in the playpen, Didi went on to not only try and calm down her husband but also immediately called an exterminator to deal with the mice that had seemed to make their home in the Pickles' family attic. A little while later, while the exterminator was taking care of the mice, Tommy and Dil were watching the gentlemen enter the home as they watched from the playpen. Now Tommy knew why the whole situation felt familiar, recalling way back over a year ago where a mouse was running rampant through the garage. Dil however, seeing as he was not born at the time with the first encounter with a mouse, was still very confused about the whole situation as he decided to speak up and ask his brother.

"Hey Tommy, what's a mice?" Dil asked his brother

"They're little aminals that like to eat cheese! The firstest time I seeneded one was afore you were bornded. It was knocking stuffs over in the garage and it made a big mess that mommy, daddy, and grandpa all thoughts Spike mades. Of course me, Chuckie, Phil and Lil all showed them that it was a mouse that mades the mess insteads of Spike. He must haves moved upstairs into our atlick when he runneded away forever agos." Tommy explained to his brother

"Wow, so there really was no monster up theres." Dil said, sighing in relief that he didn't have to worry about a monster being right above his head at night anymore

"Even if there was, I wouldn't lets it eat my onlyiest brother." Tommy replied with a grin.

Luckily within a few hours, the exterminator had cleared out the mice along with setting some traps up in the attic to catch any remaining mice if there were some somehow missed. Of course, the boys went back to spending the rest of the day like normal, playing and later eating dinner and getting ready for bed. This time of course, Dil was more than willing to sleep in his own bed without fuss. Each of the Pickles' boys settled into their own beds as Stu went to tuck Dil in for the night while Didi tucked in Tommy. Of course both parents said their good nights to both boys leaving them to sleep. Soon it was quiet throughout the Pickles' household as everyone was peacefully sleeping.

What shenanigans will Tommy and the gang get into next? Find out next time!
