Pagkapasok ko sa bahay ay tahimik ang tanggapan, walang mga kasambahay na naglilinis doon kaya kumunot ang noo ko. Nasaan sila? Naglakad ako lalo papasok hanggang sa makarinig ako ng nagsasalita sa dining area.
“This is a fucking risk, Kuya! What the hell are you fucking doing right now? I thought you’re just going to fool them around and then revenge afterwards?” I heard a man’s voice. His furious voice made me frown.
Who’s thatbman talking? And who is he talking about? Revenge? For what? For who?
I know it’s rude to eavesdrop but I can’t help but to hear them talking. No one’s there, but them, not even the house mades. Where are they, by the way? I can’t hear them doing anything in the kitchen. If they’re around, I should at least heard some noice.
“It’s been a month, Kuya! Kung hindi ka kikilos, ako ang kikilos para gumanti sa mga hayop na ‘yon!” sigaw pa nito na ikinagulat ko.
“Can you please calm down, Calvin.” Callum’s baritone voice filled the room. The guy didn’t talk anymore after hearing Callum’s voice. It was calm yet dangerous, for me.
Calvin. The guy’s calling him ‘Kuya’, is that Callum’s brother?
“I have my own plans, I have my own steps, don’t you ever dare meddle with what I am doing. You should calm down, I’m not forgetting about our plan. I’m done with the level one,” I heard him say in his calm voice. I can almost hear him smirking.
“Siguraduhin mo lang kuya, dahil kapag pumalpak ka, ako mismo ang gagawa ng dapat mong gawin. Hindi ako nagbibiro.” the guy said in his dead serious voice.
Hindi pa ako nakakagalaw nang mamataan ko silang palabas ng dining area. I was taken aback when I saw the man. He’s tall, but not as tall as Callum. His hair is disheveled that made him hot and attractive. His dark mysterious and captive brown eyes held my gaze as if he was not shock I was there. He’s almost looked like Callum, but the latter is more lean and more manly. Unlike this guy. Hindi naman siya kasing laki ng katawan ni Callum pero maganda ang hubog ng katawan niya, ng muscles, pati ang tindig niya.
“Avery,” my gaze turned to Callum who’s behind this guy.
Naglakad siya palapit sa akin. Akala ko ay hahalikan niya ako sa labi o sa noo gaya ng nakasanayan pero hindi ‘yon nangyari. He just held my waist and stand beside me and without any further ado, he talked to his brother.
“Calvin, this is my wife, Hailey.” pagpapakilala niya sa akin. “Wife, this is my younger brother, Calvin.”
The guy held out his hand to me.
“Calvin,” he said in a serious voice. Not even welcoming.
“H-Hailey, nice to meet you.” Kinakabahan kong tinanggap ang kaniyang pakikipagmay.
“Nice to finally meet you, Hailey.” His serious voice dripped like an acid, I immediately released my hand on him.
He smirked.
“You really have a good taste in women, Kuya. But I like Faith more for you.” He then, look at his brother, smirking like an idiot.
Nakaramdam ako ng kirot sa aking puso dahil sa sinabi ng kapatid ni Callum. Bakit niya sinasabi sa akin ‘to? Bakit parang pinaparamdam niya sa akin na . . . ayaw niya ako para sa kapatid niya?
“Calvin,” Callum’s baritone voice stopped his brother’s smirked. Then his arms snaked around my waist, I bit my lower lip.
Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at biglang nahiya sa lalaking nasa harapan ko. Hindi na ako makatingin sa kaniya dahil sa hiya.
