Leslie's P-O-V

I was spinning around in my computer chair. It was Thursday afternoon and what's crazy is that Melody still hasn't changed her mind about the tour yet.

I've done everything. I swallowed my pride and I begged. But she just won't budge. But I guess one more try wouldn't hurt.

I reached for my phone but it began to ring. I checked the caller ID. It was that dumb unknown number again. I don't know who it is, but I'm going to find out now.

I answered it, "Hello? Who is this?"

"Leslie... It's me. Christopher."

I fell silent. I didn't know how to feel.

"Christopher?"

"Yeah..."

I looked at the screen completely flabbergasted.

"No," I whispered to myself, "No, no, no, no..."

"Um, so how you been?"

How dare he just call me and expect me to forget about all of the things he did to me. Expects me to have a normal conversation.

"Christopher, what do you want?" I said in the most hostile manner.

"Whoa. Nothing. I just... I..."

"Listen, I don't want anything to do with you!"

"I understand that. I just-"

"And I will never forget what you did to me!"

"I regret everything. But I-"

"But, you know what? I forgive you."

"I hate me too. But I- Wait what?"

"I said that I forgive you, Christopher."

"After everything I did?"

"Yes, but if it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't be where I am now. So thank you."

"Um... You're welcome, I guess."

"So, goodbye now," I stated about to hit the 'end call' button.

"Wait!"

"What?"

"Leslie, I miss you."

I laughed at his stupidity and ignorance.

"Look, I don't care. I'm happy with who I'm dating. He appreciates me and loves me way better than you did."

"But, Leslie, I did and I still do love and appreciate you."

"Yeah, well that hospital bill said otherwise."

"Leslie, I'm sorry..."

"I forgave you already. Now if that's all you wanted to tell me, I'm not talking to you anymore."

"Leslie, can you just answer one question?"

"What?"

"Who is he? Your new boyfriend?"

There were two ways to go with this: Gloat about getting Roc who was my dream guy or just not tell him at all.

"I can't tell you that. You don't need to know."

"Okay, but just remember one thing. I'm going to find out and I'm not going to stop until you're mine again."

I hung up, not knowing what to do or say or who to turn to. Should I tell Roc? Nah. He'll flip! And Christopher is crazy. I don't want to see Roc get hurt. I cried into my pillow as a bunch of thoughts and emotions flowed over me. Is it wrong that deep down, I felt some kind of way when he said he missed me? I felt like I missed him too. Before he became abusive, he was so much fun to be with... And those were the times that made me fall in love with him in the first place. Feelings like that can never leave, they just get buried or put to rest for a while...

As I was crying, I heard my phone ringing again. I felt afraid that it was Christopher again. I looked at the caller ID and saw Melody. I answered it.

"I'm coming on tour with you," she said then hung up.

I was so confused. I didn't know what made her change her mind like that or why she would just hang up. She sounded like she was trying to whisper and as if she had been crying.

I called her back.

"Hello?" I heard Travis say.

"Where's Melody?"

"She's busy."

"With what?"

"It's none of your business."

"I think it is and I want to talk to her right-"

I was interrupted by the phone hanging up. I stared at the screen wide-eyed, gaped mouth, and filled with disbelief. Oh no he did not!
