Tuesday Morning.
Melody's P-O-V
"I cannot stand this!" I exclaimed after a trip to the bathroom.
My concussion was healed and my sprain was getting there, but my ribcage needed more time. I hated Travis more and more with each aching movement of my body. I despised him every time I had to scream for help with a basic task. This just sucks and it's all his fault! I should've listened to everyone. I regret everything.
"Mel, are you okay?" Andrew said walking in.
"No! I hate this! I want to go out and be normal. I hate having to sit in this room."
"I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but we can't do anything about it."
"Oh yes we can! I want Travis to pay! I want him out..."
"Out?"
"Dead. I want him dead."
"Melody, you're acting crazy right now. Just calm down."
"No! I've kept calm long enough."
"It's only been, like, two days..." he mumbled.
"Exactly! Long enough! And I want revenge!"
"Don't you think dumping him after he begged to get back with you was enough revenge? He's probably sitting in a corner crying over you."
"You're right."
"And him getting his but whooped by Prod and I was good enough, too?"
I giggled, "Yeah. It was."
"Good. Now, want to see something?"
I nodded. Andrew was such a good friend. I loved him, he was like a big brother. Even though he's only older than me by a few months. He left then came back with a box in his hand. He pulled out a little book.
"This is an address book that my mother left. She had family. But they were living in Chicago."
"How do you know all of this?"
"She left a note," he said digging in the box again and taking out stationary paper. "Here. Read it."
I read the note and nearly choked on my tears, "Andrew, how did she know all of this would have happened?"
He shrugged, "She's a wise woman who just made bad decisions. But what I don't understand is why her and her family fell out. I'm hoping to get in contact with someone from her side and have them explain."
"Aw, Andrew. Come hug me."
He laughed and gave me a light hug. We let go of each other and the room became awkwardly silent.
"Well, I guess I should be-"
"Wait, no stay. Can you just lay down with me for a while?"
"Well..."
"Please?"
"Alright."
He got in the bed next to me then faced me.
"Remember when I used to say I didn't like you in Kindergarten then said you had cooties?"
"Yeah," I laughed. "I hated you for that. No one talked to me for a week until I got the idea to say I had my cootie's shot."
We laughed.
"But now we're the best of friends."
"Yeah. Remember when we were young and we used to have sleepovers?" I asked smiling.
