Chapter 1: High School...

Leslie’s P-O-V

It was a Friday morning and I was hanging out by Melody’s locker as always.

“Who would’ve thought high school would be like this?” she asked rhetorically as she closed her locker door.

“Ugh… I know right,” I replied with a roll of my eyes.

I then saw Travis coming in our direction. I’m tired of him…

“Hey Mel,” he said kissing her. “What’s up Leslie?”

“Hey baby,” Melody said.

“Hey Travis,” I said dryly.

“You want to go to the movies tonight?” he asked with one hand on the lockers, trapping Melody in.

“Sure. What time?” she replied with a shrug of the shoulders.

“I don’t know. Around eight?”

“All right.”

At that, Andrew walked up to us. Over the summer, he left to live in Cali with his dad but he came back a little bit before the school year started. We asked him why he came back, but he won’t tell us.

“Hey guys,” said Andrew with a wave.

“Hi,” I said in sync with Melody.

Travis just nodded his head toward him.

“Mel, did you do your math homework?” he asked.

“Ha! No. Do I ever?” she replied.

“That’s true,” I chimed in.

Just then the bell rung.

“Off to class,” Melody said giving Travis a kiss. “Come on Drew, Les.”

“I’ll be there in a sec,” I said as she walked away with Andrew behind her.

I turned to Travis and said: "Don’t think you’re going to get away with what you’re doing."

He backed me up against the lockers.

“Leslie. I have her wrapped around my finger and I have been doing this for months. Sounds like to me that I can get away with whatever I want,” he replied with a smirk.

“Just watch your back!” I retorted.

He turned me loose.

“Whatever. Bye Leslie,” he laughed walking away.

“UGH!”

I stomped off to class upset at the fact that he’s a total bacon bit!
