part one"𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞, 𝐈 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨𝐝 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐮𝐭!" Lily yelled at her boyfriend, who was practically sat on top of her. She had been trying to focus on her homework all evening, but Steve had taken it upon himself to distract her. She'd gone back to school seven months ago, but he still wasn't used to the fact that she now did her work. He was still adjusting to the "new Lily" as he called her.
"I'm bored. You've been working for ages" He frowned.
"It's finals in a few months" Lily said, "I can't fail them".
Steve groaned, "You won't, Lil" He assured her, "And for the first time, I mean that. You're pretty smart now".
Her second run of senior year had been totally different to the first time. Since Cindy's death, she had promised herself that she'd pass her finals and get into college. She had kept her promise and worked her butt off all year, and it was paying off. Her grades were now average. She was getting C's and B's, rather than her usual D's and F's.
Lily looked at Steve and sighed, "Fine, I'll call it a night" She said, putting her pen down, "Happy now, Stevie boy?"
In response, Steve picked her up and threw her onto the bed, making her cry out in surprise. He wasted no time in climbing on top of her to kiss her, pupils already blown. Lily struggled not to laugh, now knowing why he had been so eager for her to finish her homework. She kissed him back, like any normal nineteen-year-old girl.
However, Lily's life was far from being back to normal. She was still picking up the pieces from everything that had happened last July. Losing Cindy had had a huge impact on her. She missed her more and more everyday.
She had learned to make the most of any situation that made her feel normal. Even if it meant having sex with Steve while her parents were in the house. They had been together for a little over a year and a half now, yet they still acted like they did when they'd first started dating. The flame between them had never died down. If anything, it had only grown stronger, which is why they still tore each other's clothes off at any chance they got.
Just as Steve had pulled his shirt off, the neighbours cat screeched outside and they both froze. To them, it sounded like a demogorogn. Steve in particular looked panicked. Lily placed a hand on his arm, "We can stop".
Steve looked relieved, but a little disappointed. He climbed off her and laid down on the pillows. "Sorry. The demogorgon-cat kinda killed the vibe" He chuckled, "Last night I swear I saw that spider monster, and now this".
