𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 with a demogorgon last year, Lily didn't think she'd find herself in a stranger situation. But, now that she was sat in Billy's car, being driven by his younger sister, with a passed out Steve on her lap, she was starting to think that this was stranger.
"You know Steve's gonna kill you guys, right? " She said, reaching out to grab onto the back of the driver's seat to steady herself, as Max took a corner a little too hard.
"No, he'll kill you. You're just as much in charge" Dustin retorted, "That is, if he ever decides to wake his ass up".
"I tried to stop you, but four against one is kinda unfair" She said, removing the ice from Steve's face again to check on the bruising, "I don't think the ice is working-"
"Hang on a sec. I think he's waking up!" Dustin interjected. As he said this, Steve's hand moved against Lily's and his eyes opened slowly.
"Oh, thank god for that" She sighed, watching as Steve chose to hold his gaze on Mike for a while, which clearly made the younger teen feel uncomfortable.
"Nancy?" Steve muttered, not yet fully conscious.
"Wrong Wheeler" Lily grinned, looking at Mike, who was also desperately trying to hold back a laugh.
Steve took his hand from Lily's and moved to touch his face, but Dustin stopped him. "No, don't touch it! It's okay, buddy. Billy kicked your ass, but you put up a good fight" He said, reassuringly.
"Where's Lily?" Was his response.
"I'm here" She said gently, watching as his eyes wandered up to meet hers, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Your face" He mumbled, reaching up to trace his thumb over the cut on her cheek.
"I'm okay. Promise" She assured him. This was a lie. Her cheek was still stinging pretty badly.
"Keep straight for half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai" Came Lucas' voice from the passenger seat.
"Wait, what's going on?" Steve asked, glancing over at Max. "Oh my god!" He exclaimed, once he noticed her hands on the steering wheel.
Dustin waved him off, "Relax. She's driven before".
Lucas turned in his seat, "It's more experience than Lily, so it's better than nothing" He added.
"Lucas shut your trap" Lily scowled. She placed a hand on Steve's shoulder, in an unsuccessful attempt to calm him down, "I tried to stop them, really" She said, unhelpfully.
