𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧, to the Byers' house, where they waited impatiently for all three of the Byers, Mike, and Nancy to arrive. Once they had, they gathered around the round table in the kitchen to talk over everything that had happened. With the help of Lucas' input, Dustin gave a short, but detailed account of everything that had happened since Halloween night.
"Dart's a baby demogorgon?" Jonathan had said, his eyes wide. He had then proceeded to tell the others that he and Nancy had travelled all the way to Illinois, to visit an ex- journalist, to expose the lab for the death of Barbara.
Then, Mike had talked about the visions of the Upside Down Will had been having, and how he almost seemed to have become "possessed". He spoke about how the creatures had arrived at the lab after Will had reacted badly to the scientists attempting to burn away what reminded of the Upside Down in the building's basement.
Mike had also explained that the many scribbled drawings across the house were a map of the tunnels of the Upside Down, that Will had drawn out. They had helped them to find Hopper, who had been stuck in the tunnels for a day or so. At this, Lily had exchanged a knowing glance with Steve. "That's why Hopper was never at the station when I tried calling him" She thought.
Lily took all this in, trying to make sense of what was going on. Behind her, she could hear Hopper yelling down the phone at the military. He had called them for backup, hoping they'd be able to rescue whoever was left in the lab, which had now been overrun by the creatures.
"I don't know how many people are in there, I don't know how many people are left alive!" Hopper shouted, then he slammed the receiver down aggressively.
"They didn't believe you, did they?" Dustin sighed.
"We'll see, kid" He replied, sounding exasperated.
"We'll see?!" Mike repeated, "We can't just sit here while those things are on the loose!"
"We stay here and wait for help" Hopper said, firmly. Then, he stalked out of the room to find Joyce.
While the others talked amongst themselves. Lily shoved her hands into the pockets of her jacket and leant against the kitchen counter behind her. Her head was reeling from all the new information she had been given. She was so lost in thought, and didn't realise she'd zoned out of the conversation until she felt a sharp nudge from Steve.
"You okay?" He asked her, quietly.
She nodded, "Just trying to work out what's going on".
