𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, Lily was sat on the couch between Steve and Cindy. After leaving the mall, she had invited Cindy over to watch a movie with her and Steve. They had spent ages deciding what to watch. Both girls wanted to watch Grease, but Steve, who claimed that Grease was "too girly", wanted to to watch Indiana Jones.
However, once Lily had reminded him that Cindy had done the majority of the translating for them earlier on that day, he'd reluctantly agreed to back down and watch the movie they'd picked out.
"I don't get how you two can watch this movie more than once. There's so much singing" He grumbled, the moment the third song began to play on the television.
"It's Grease, what do you expect?" Lily shrugged, looking over at him and laughing at his disgruntled expression, "If you don't want to watch it, you're more than welcome to go upstairs. Neither of us are forcing you to sit here".
"No, I want to watch it" He protested, "I just don't get why everyone has to start singing every five seconds".
"Danny reminds me of you" Cindy said, thoughtfully.
Steve frowned at her, "I'm nothing like him, Maddison".
Lily took a moment to think about it, "Cindy's right. He's a total peacock like you. He even carries round a comb".
"I'm not a peacock and I don't even own a comb".
"No, but you use Farah-" Lily began, but her sentence was cut short by Steve placing a hand over her mouth. "Cindy already knows you use Farah Fawcett, don't worry" She laughed, pulling his hand away, "I told her last year when she was in hospital, to try and cheer her up".
Steve looked between the two girls, "Seriously?"
"What? She was about to have a blood test, so I told her the first funny thing I could think of" Lily said, defensively.
"You didn't you have to tell her that, though".
"It's not like I was gonna tell anyone, I'm only friends with you two" Cindy scoffed, "Unfortunately for me".
"Excuse me? Don't you mean fortunately?" Lily frowned.
"I dunno about that. At times I wish you still hung out with Tommy and Carol" She joked, "I had way more time to myself when you used to be friends with them".
Lily looked disgruntled, "I'm gonna pretend I never heard that" She mumbled, turning her focus back to the movie.
From where she was sat, she heard someone come down the stairs and pause by the living room door for a while. She could identify her family by the sound of their footsteps, so she immediately knew it was her brother.
