𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬, presumably the one in charge, made his way over to where the trio lay. He looked down at them, grinning maliciously in a way that made Lily feel uneasy. "Where are you going?" He mocked, clicking his tongue. He snapped his fingers at the other soldiers, who came over to pull the chairs upright. Lily was secretly thankful for this. The blood rushing to her head from having her legs up had made her feel faint.
"Try telling the truth this time, yes?" The same soldier said, to Steve, who winced, "It will make your visit with Dr. Zharkov less painful" He sneered, with a cold laugh.
Out of the corner of her eye, Lily could see the man in the white coat, presumably the Doctor, hold up a large needle. "Holy shit! What the hell is that thing?" She exclaimed. At this, one of the soldiers grabbed her face.
"Watch your mouth young lady" He sneered, "You're much too pretty to be using words like that" He added with a smirk, sending a shiver down Lily's spine.
"Hey, leave her alone!" Steve snapped. Then, the man in the white coat approached him and he started to panic, "Wait a sec, hold on! Okay, wait! Wait! What is that thing?" He gaped, looking at the needle with wide eyes.
"It will help you talk" The Doctor grinned.
"Did you even clean that thing?" Steve asked, struggling against the chair as the needle was brought closer to him, "No, wait! Just leave the girls alone, okay?! Please!"
"Steve!" Lily cried out, as she watched the needle plunge into his neck, "Leave him alone!" She screamed, although it was too late, "What the hell have you-" She started to say, but a hand was shoved over her mouth to stop her.
"It's your turn now, my darling" He grinned, his drawling tone of voice making her shudder again.
"No!" She said, against his hand, "Please, no! Leave me alone!" She yelled, her eyes widening as a second needle was brought up to her neck, "No, stop! Please, stop-"

She wasn't sure how long she had been knocked out for, or how long for that matter, but all Lily knew as she began to stir was that she felt okay. In fact she felt more than okay, she found that all her fear had miraculously vanished and she was positively beaming at the thought.
"Hey, guys. Are you awake?" She asked, "How do you feel? I feel totally fine, I thought they were meant to be injecting us with drugs or something" She chuckled.
After a moments pause, Steve chuckled too, "I feel pretty good actually. Maybe it takes a while for the drugs to kick in?" He guessed, "They can't have given us the wrong dose, did you seethat dude in the white coat, he was definitely a Russian scientist, there's no doubt about it".
