𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 in high school definitely had its perks for Lily, one of which was getting invited to everything, and this years Halloween party was no different. It was being hosted by Tina, a freshman who lived on the richest street in town. Seeing much of herself in the new girl, Lily had taken a liking to her, and had been the one to convince her to throw the party.
Thanks to her careful costume designing, both she and Cindy had turned up dressed as Bond Girls, Melina and Anya. However, as the evening had progressed, Cindy had left, stating that she needed to get an early night before school the next day. Lily, who was too tipsy to care, had waved her off, promising to be on time in the morning.
She was now stood in the large kitchen, filling her cup with a drink she definitely didn't need. As with most parties, she had misjudged how low her limits were and had already drank too much. Tina was stood next to her, eyeing her with a mixture of amusement and admiration.
Lily noticed her staring and grinned, "Tina, I am so glad you started Hawkins High, this party is awesome".
"Well, it couldn't have happened without you. I'm a total clutz at organising things like this" Tina laughed.
"Careful, you don't want to inflate her ego anymore than it already is" Came an amused voice from behind them.
Lily turned to face Steve, who was looking down at her, a drink in hand. "So, you're back from doing keg stands?" She grinned, "Have you managed to uphold your Keg King title, or do I need to show you how it's done again?"
"No need, I've still whooped everyone's asses, including Paul's" He smirked, "And before you say nothing happened between you two, I saw you sneaking upstairs".
"I couldn't exactly say no to him" Lily winked. Then, checking to see if Tina was listening, she added in a low voice,"And says you! I saw you and Tina earlier-"
"Don't you dare," Steve hissed, pulling her out of the kitchen, away from Tina, "I already regret doing that, so you and your drunk mouth better not say anything".
Lily held her hands up defensively, "I won't, but people already know. You did kiss her in front of everyone".
Steve covered her mouth to stop her from saying anything else, "Zip it, Andrews" He frowned, although she could tell he was trying hard not to smile.
In response, she pulled his hand away from her face and stood up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek, "As you wish, Stevie boy" She teased, then turned to walk away from him.
"Hey, hang on!" He protested, grabbing her wrist, "We haven't danced together yet. Come on, I wanna see your best moves" He joked, leading her into the living room, which was full of people dancing.
