𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲, the five of them piled into the back of Steve's car. Promising to come back to the boathouse as soon as possible to update Eddie on what was happening, they drove in the direction of the trailer park. As soon as they pulled in, it was apparent that something had happened. The police cars they had followed were swarmed around one place, sirens blaring.

"Holy shit" Lily cursed, "What's going on?"

Steve shrugged, "Beats me".

"Could this all still be to do with Chrissy?" Robin asked.

Dustin shook his head, "No, it can't be. This is new".

Then, amongst all the chaos, Lily spotted a familiar face. She squinted her eyes to make sure it was who she thought it was, then said, "This just got a lot stranger".

"Is that Nancy?" Dustin frowned, following her gaze.

"Nancy as in Nancy Wheeler?" Robin chimed in.

Steve rolled his eyes, "Obviously, Rob".

"I was just asking, okay?" Robin retorted, "There's definitely more than one Nancy in Hawkins, and Nancy Wheeler is definitely someone I wouldn't expect to see on this side of town. She lives on Lily's street, which is-"

However, before Robin could finish, the others climbed out of the car. Nancy was stood behind a police barrier, talking to Officer Powell. Behind her, were police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks. She looked upset, and once she spotted the group, her bottom lip trembled and she gave them a small wave, which Steve meekly returned.

The younger girl pushed her way past the police barriers and made her way over to them. Up close, Lily could tell from the dark circles under her eyes that she'd hardly slept. Now thoroughly intrigued, she asked, "What's up?"

Nancy inhaled sharply and, with her voice shaking a little, she explained. She told them that she and Fred Benson, a boy from school, had been visiting the trailer park to find out more about Chrissy's death, to publish in the school paper. "He was with me last night, then he started acting weird and just disappeared. The next thing I knew, he'd been found dead not far from here. I don't know much but I overheard the cops talking. They said his bones had been snapped and his eyes had been ripped out".
