The city lights gave life to the town, beautiful is what Serah would describe it as she watched it move backwards from the car

A caring friend

The words couldn't stop ringing in her mind, as an overthinker Serah was right at it asking herself questions she knew were ridiculous

Does he really care for me?

Friend? He wants to be my friend?

Do bosses drive their employees home?

He's driving you home as a friend honey

Serah looked at him as he looked focused on the road in front of him, he was really handsome

Everything in it's right place, his curly black hair, chiseled jawline with a stubble that added to his looks, a perfect well shaped nose and his lips

Oh his lips

How I wish-

Shhhh

Shush Serah ...don't dream like this

You'll only hurt yourself

"You're very silent for someone that's very joyful" Garrel said as he turned a corner

Joyful?

That wanted to make Serah laugh, where in the world did any part of her describe joy joy joy

"I'm not joyful" she said

"You are" Garrel chuckled "well at least around my brother and Reina"

Serah looked at him

"I wish you'd be that free with me"

"You're my boss" Serah said right away

"So is Darren" Garrel gave her a quick look

"He's my... friend" she said as she remembered the day Darren asked to be his friend

She didn't have a lot of those nowadays but she was glad Darren was her friend, either ways he'd force himself on her if she denied him

"Can I be your friend?"

Serah looked at him before looking in front of her in much thought, would that be safe for her

Garrel affected her very much by just being present in the room, it drove her crazy trying to control herself

Friends mean hanging out, talking, shaking hands and having a good time

Would all that happen without her misreading the situation because she secretly liked him

She inwardly sighed

I don't think being friends with him is a good idea

If anything she was supposed to push him away, set her mind straight and avoid any hurt that would occur because of her dumb feelings

Was she going to do that?

Well no

"Sure" she mumbled

Garrel smiled as he stopped the car

"We're here" he said

"Thank you for driving me here" Serah said "how are you going to get back home"

Apparently they had used Serah's car

"My driver"

"Oh" she nodded

And there it was, the awkward silence. Was that the part where she got out of the car and get her things and keys?

Perhaps invite him insi-
