37. Serah

Two weeks had passed after that night, I left his room early in the morning when I saw he was getting better

And of course I continued my avoid Garrel at all costs mission, taking care of him wasn't going to change anything between us that I knew very well

Well to also be honest I really didn't have time to spend in this house anymore, I was too busy with work that I left early in the morning and came late in the evening

Okay maybe I did that on purpose

Truth is I was kind of embarrassed about the little stunt I pulled in Garrel's room that evening and I didn't want to make more of a fool of myself

I looked myself in the mirror, I had put on  blue denim jeans and a green t-shirt with a girl printed on it winking and a pink bubble on her mouth

My natural hair was down as usual and the bangs covered part of my face, I had put on some white socks and sneakers

"That'll do" I said as I looked at myself satisfied

Today was Saturday and I was going to meet my siblings, the meeting kept on being postponed until we agreed that we had to make time and meet for real

I walked to the bedside table and took my phone, I slid it in my back pocket, took my car keys and exited my room

Nonchalantly I walked out of the hallway and slowly down the stairs, as I continued walking down I started hearing voices and they got louder as I got closer and closer to the end of the stairs

My face turned into a frown as the voices became audible

It was a woman's voice, with Garrel

I sighed

Slowly I finished the steps and peeked inside the living room, my heart sank

There she was smiling and laughing so freely in here with Garrel, Merissa sat too close to him as she listened to what he was saying

I pursed my lips and looked away

Suddenly I began breathing heavily, tears threatened to fall from my face and I fanned my eyes tryin my best not to let them fall, stupid feelings

I looked at the living room again and shoot I was caught, I found Garrel looking my way

Our eyes connected for three seconds and I walked into the kitchen to leave through the back door, I didn't want to meet Merissa or talk to Garrel

Things would just get sour and I didn't want any negative vibes today

I hurried and went outside and before I knew it I was in my car driving away from the house

"There is the hero of the familyyy" Tatiana cheered

I smiled as soon as I saw my siblings, we had decided to meet at a restaurant in town where they serve the best chicken

As my family knows well, chicken was my babe end of discussion

"Hey guys"

Tatiana stood and wrapped her arms around me for a two seconds hug

"Hey baby" she said sweetly as she pulled away

I hugged Kai then Shawn from behind as they were seated on their chairs and sat next to Tatiana

"How're you doing" Shawn smiled

"Good, I guess" I shrugged

"You look healthy so you're fine" Kai commented
