Y/N's POV:

"You're under arrest for the attempted murder of Kim Seokjin."

"[Y/N], you have the right to remain silen-"

"Excuse me?!" you exclaim, uselessly trying to fight off Officer Jang. "Why would I have saved his life if I wanted him dead?!"

"That's what we'd like to know," the lead cop scowls, pulling his phone from his pocket. "We have a witness and we have you on camera." A wave of nausea washes over you as your eyes scan up and down the older gray haired cop.

You glance over at Taehyung again and his hand is over his mouth, looking at you in disgust and making your heart sink to your stomach.

"Taehyung," you say shakily as tears brim in your eyes. "I didn't do it."

He doesn't answer. He just remains still, eyeing you up and down like you're some sort of monster.

"Take a look," the cop says, shoving his phone in your face.

You blink a few times and see that it's the neighbor's security camera from across the street. You watch as your body enters the screen, heading towards your front door before pausing and moving over to the side of your house to peek around the corner.

Unfortunately for you, this camera has no sound and is angled from the other side of your house — so when you slip into the alley the camera doesn't catch anything.

"I-I saw Jin and some girl f-fighting in that alleyway," you say frantically as a tear escapes down your cheek. "I was being n-nosy. But then she randomly s-stabbed him and I fought her off." Your body is trembling as everyone looks down at you, not believing a word you're saying.

You helplessly watch as you return from the dark alley with Jin's bleeding body, taking him inside your house and shutting the door. Though you have to admit, the video looks really bad and you can understand why they're skeptical, but it doesn't make sense for them to already be arresting you just from that.

"You wouldn't have called anyone," the older man glares at you, pulling his phone back. "You panicked when Jin called Taehyung."

"That's not true!" you gape, more tears falling down your face. "You can't even see anything from this angle! It's all speculation!"

"I told you we have a witness," the man grits through his teeth before turning to his men. "Take her to the precinct. Inform her of her rights and throw her in the holding cell."

"Wait," you sob as Officer Jang pulls your arm to drag you to the door. "Taehyung, please." He remains silent and continues to stare with his eyes wide. "V you saw me save him. Please, you have to believe me."

You aren't allowed to speak to him further because another officer grabs your other arm and you're forcefully dragged out into the hallway. As you're dragged through the hall, all the nurses and staff are staring at you with disgust just like Taehyung was.

It's taking everything you have to fight back your nausea and panic attack, but you know you still have hope. You can't break down yet.

"Let me go," you grit through your teeth, shaking them off. "I'll go willingly." They pause to release you and you take a moment to take some deep breaths.

I didn't do anything wrong. I just have to clearly explain things at the police station.

You're able to calm yourself down and follow behind Officer Jang as the other cop walks closely behind you.

It's okay, [Y/N]. It's a misunderstanding. Jin will explain everything.

Turning the corner, you're guided to head outside and start walking down the stairs where multiple police cars sit.
