Y/N's POV:
The peaceful sounds of a thunderstorm put your body at ease, while also softly waking you up from your slumber. A familiar scent fills your nostrils, and it's a smell you'd normally love waking up to, but your body reacts before your mind does.
That huge crater in your chest forces your eyes open, and you groggily look around the room, trying to piece together what happened. You're back in your room, and you decide to stare out the window, watching the rain pelt against the glass, loud claps of thunder accompanying the storm. Glancing over at the clock you see it's 7am, and you remember falling asleep next to Granny Soo-ah's grave, but you can't remember why.
The rest of your body begins to wake up and you feel a soft pressure against your right hand. Looking down you see a fluffy black head resting on the bed, his body seated in a chair and his hand firmly holding yours, but as soon as your eyes fall on him every memory comes flooding back.
You gasp, ripping your hand from his and startling him awake. The pain in your chest is making more sense as you remember his lips pressed to someone else's, and you scoot yourself back against the headboard, getting as far away from him as you can.
Seokjin is sitting in his office chair to the side of the bed, his eyes just as wide and watery as yours as he starts to wake up too.
"Bug," he says shakily. "Please, I jus-"
"Don't call me that," you snap, making a tear roll down his cheek. Seokjin hurting doesn't make you feel any better but all you can see is red. Your skin feels like it's on fire and your throat is already closing again.
"Okay, [Y/N]," he says softly, gripping the comforter in his hands. "I'm sorry." You can tell he's barely holding it together so you rip your gaze from his, looking back outside at the window.
There's an uncomfortable silence for a few seconds as you try to control your breathing. Luckily it's storming which is probably the only thing keeping your panic attack at bay, but it doesn't change how miserable you feel.
"It wasn't a kiss," Seokjin blurts out, and your eyes angrily snap back to his.
"It doesn't matter," you bark, feeling even more defeated as he shrinks in size. "Whether you intentionally kissed her or not, you still hid it from me. You still picked a fight with me over her. You still bitched me out at work over a meeting that got cut short with her."
"[Y/N], please just hear me out," he begs, and you glare back out the window, feeling your body beginning to tremble. Your nervous system is all over the place right now, and the pit in your stomach is beginning to shift from a dull ache to a sharp pain.
"I don't want to," you hiss. "I don't want to be anywhere near you."
"Don't be like this," he says. "We can talk this out. We always figure things out together."
"That was before I knew the kind of person you are."
You're just saying things out of hurt and anger now. Logically, you're well aware that there's some sort of explanation to this. But those voices are still screaming at you, telling you he cheated because you aren't good enough. As irrational as it is, you're scared he's going to tell you he doesn't love you anymore. That he's moved on with someone less exhausting. The thought of him leaving you for someone else paralyzes you to your core.
"You're being completely unfair," he says, shifting his tone a little bit. You can tell he's morphing from sad to angry, and you know this isn't going to be good. "I have never once given you a reason to doubt me and you won't even let me explain."
"I'm the one being unfair?" you scoff, looking back over at him in disbelief. "Was it my lips pressed to someone else's for the world to see? Are you the one who looks like a fucking moron for defending someone with your life? Only to be stabbed in the back?"
