Working from Home

The weather was storming outside, and Hetty wasn't too sure if she and Granger would be able to get to work.

'How are we going to work in this weather?' He asked.

'We won't be able to. We'll have to work from here today. Get the phones and our laptops.' Hetty replied.

'Just how is this going to work? How many phone numbers do you actually know of?'

'None. But technically, there are folks at work that can help with that.'

It was odd, but somehow they worked all day just fine.

'You know, there are some advantages to working from here. I mean, The chairs are comfier, not having to run back and forth through a big building all day, we know where everything is, we can sleep anytime we want. This feels good! Maybe we should consider helping our team work from home.' Granger suggested.

'Owen, are you aware of how much of an old man you sound right now?' Hetty asked.

'Uhhhhhh.'

'Exactly! We might look old, but we're young at heart!'

'Is that why you're rubbing your back like you're hurting?'

'Oh shut up! I'm itchy.' Hetty grumbled.

It took a lot of calls, a lot of impromtu yelling, and some storming off to the bathroom, but before they knew it, the day was over.

'So, old man. How'd you like the whole 'working from home' experience?' Hetty asked, amused.

'That working in an office is neater and less cluttered and personal, I know!' Granger grumbled.

'Well good news! The weather is clearing up, so we should be able to get to work tomorrow.'

'Thank you!'

'Though, there was something nice about all this.' Hetty said.

'What?'

'Being able to kiss you without everyone moaning and groaning about how gross we look.'

Smiling. 'Oh, yeah. That!'
