People often asked Hetty and Granger if they remember the moments they realized that they were each other's soulmates. While they often said they didn't know, Hetty knew the exact moment.
'I had been missing in Vietnam for 5 days. I was basically half dead when I was finally found. I was asleep for about 2 days, and then I woke up and saw Owen at my side. He had been looking for me all those 5 days, and he offered to take care of me until I was well enough. That, was the best thing any man had ever done for me at the time.' She said.
For Granger, it was for a similar reason.
'I had been poisoned and almost killed in a bad accident. Some time before it happened, I had received notice from the perp that he was planning on going after everyone and my partner most of all. I was stuck resting almost the whole day, not knowing if she would be okay. Then that night, I woke up and she was at my side. I couldn't be more relieved to see her if I tried. I thanked her by spending the holidays with her, and well, our feelings for each other took off from there' He said.
'Wow. That is so romantic!' Nell replied, amazed by it all.
'Yes well, being in pain, and waking up in the hospital after a traumatic experience, can do something to one's state of mind. A simple act of kindness can change everything.' Hetty replied, then smiled at her sweetheart.
