Hetty's house.
Hetty and Granger were clearing the table when he asked an interesting question:
'Ever get tired of hearing the phrase 'Growing old together'? Like, we're already old! How can we grow old together if we're already old?'
Hetty laughed.
'What's so funny about it?'
'1, that you think we're really that old. 2, I think your question is just really funny!' Hetty replied.
Puzzled. 'You really think that's funny?'
'It's just a silly phrase, dear. Do either of us really feel that old? I also think it's really cute that an old grump like you would get all concerned about a goofy phrase like that.'
Blushing. 'Yeah, that does sound kind of embarrassing.' Granger muttered.
'If it helps, the term 'old maid' used to really annoy me. Like, I'm not a maid, and it was my choice to never settle down in the early part of my life.' Hetty said.
'How do you feel about being with me now?'
'Hmm, I think I made a good choice. Tall as you may be, you make me laugh, you comfort me when I'm sad, and many other things. I, love being with you!'
Smiling. 'Thank you. I feel the same way.' Granger replied.
