'Well, I've tried calling them again. Turns out there was a mix up with my reservation, but they can't fix it! What a bunch of idiots.' Granger grumbled.
'I still can't believe you even managed to get us a reservation at an Italian place that is usually booked 5 months in advance! Like, how did you do that?!' Hetty asked.
'I have friends in the food making business. So, what are we going to do now? That was our planned date night!'
'I may have a good solution.'
At the Lady H.
'Champaign under the stars. Guess women really are better at planning date nights then men.' Granger said, slightly unhappy.
'Don't put yourself down that hard. You've planned some good date nights in the past.' Hetty replied, sipping her wine.
'You mean like that weekend trip to Vegas that ended with both of us laid up in the hotel with food poisoning?'
'Okay, maybe not that. But there were was that lovely date on the beach at sunset. You did good with that.'
'That was pretty nice.'
'Here's to future date nights even though we're married.' Hetty said, proposing a toast.
'And here's to either of us having a good backup plan in case 1 of us screws it up the 1st time.' Granger replied.
'Definitely cheers to that!' (clink)
