Granger woke up, placed his hand on Hetty's side of the bed, and felt nothing.
'Hmm. She must have woken up. I'll see if I can find her.' He sleepily thought.
After checking the bathroom, he went downstairs and saw her sitting in front of the fireplace with her tea.
'Couldn't sleep?'
'A bit. Figured I'd sit here for a bit. Want to sit?' She offered.
He sat down next to her.
'Everything okay?' He asked.
'Yes. I just, wanted some quiet time to ourselves since it's been a while we've had any real quiet time together.' She replied.
'That's true. I've, kind of missed our quiet time.'
'It's been such a long week. Long cases, not feeling like doing anything at night, it can be a real drain. Though, there is 1 comfort to it all.'
'Which is?'
'Waking up and seeing you.' Hetty finished.
Smiling. 'Aww. That's very nice.'
Hetty put her tea down and nuzzled her nose in his arm.
'Trying to signal something to me, Lange?' Granger asked.
'Oh noooo. Just feel like relaxing in your very warm arm.' Hetty mumbled.
Knowing what that beyond adorable comment meant, Granger carried her back to bed.
Smiling beautifully. 'I love you.'
'And I love your adorable attempts to get me to kiss you.' Granger replied.
'Annnnnnddddd?'
'And I love you too!' Then they kissed each other good night.
