Ugh. Another day of sitting through a boring meeting when useless politicians. Then the service at the hotel that night was poor. Then she had to wake up really early to catch a 5 am flight back home, which ended up being delayed 20 minutes. Getting home never felt so good!
Riiing! Hetty's cell phone rang.
'Hello?' She grumbled.
'Just checking to make sure you got home okay. I'm guessing that you did.' Granger replied.
'Well, yesterday was boring, I had poor hotel service, flight was delayed a bit, and I hit traffic coming home. My head hurts, and I just want some peace and quiet!'
'Okay. I'll leave you alone for the rest of the day. See you tonight.'
Then he hung up. And Hetty made herself comfortable on the couch and eventually dozed off.
When she woke up that evening, she smelled something delicious. She turned, and saw a cup of hot chocolate on the table. Granger was sitting in the armchair reading.
'Hi. Did you make this?' Hetty asked.
'Yeah. I was told it could help with headaches. Or at least help you feel better after a rough day.' Granger replied.
'Well, the peace and quiet all day was very refreshing. And this smells delicious!'
She tasted it, and it was indeed delicious.
'Mmm! Nice to see that there IS something you can make without it burning or making me sick!'
Granger chuckled.
