'You staying home today?' Hetty asked.
'Yeah. Kim said I don't need to and that it's just a cold, but I want to stay.' Granger replied.
'Well, that's very much like a father, good for you! I left a really good soup recipe on the table if you're interested.'
'Thank you.'
That afternoon, when Hetty checked in
'How is she doing?'
'Resting. She loved the soup. I tasted a bit of it, and it was really good! Where did you get something so good?' Granger asked.
'I made it myself.'
'Well, you did really good!'
(Smiling). 'And you're doing great today!' Hetty reminded him.
'I know. It means something more when you say it.'
That night
'How is she?' Hetty asked when she came home.
'Doing better.' Granger replied. 'How was your day?'
'Other then interrupting Mr. Beale and Miss Jones's kissing session in OPS unintentionally, it was okay.'
Granger chuckled.
'You're a great father. And what you did today proves it.'
'Thank you, and you're an amazing wife and step mom.'
