'Is Hetty okay?' Callen asked when Granger called to say Hetty was staying home for the day.
'She went to a rock concert last night, and I guess 1 of her ear plugs fell out because she started complaining of her left ear ringing when she got home.' Granger replied.
'Will she be okay?'
'After about a day or so. The annoying part of it is is having to basically shout she she can hear me.'
'You sure she's not just messing with you?'
'Owen! I need another cup of tea!' Hetty hollered from the bedroom. 'I don't know, but I don't have time to find out. Gotta run!' Then Granger hung up.
He rushed to get Hetty her tea.
'Here it is! As hot as you'd like it.'
'Good! Now just put it on the table all gently like!' Hetty shouted.
'Geez, do you have to shout like that?' Granger mumbled as he put the tea down.
'Thank you.'
'Ah ha! You didn't shout. That's got to mean your ears stopped ringing and can hear well! You were only messing with me.'
Shouting. 'What's that?! I can't hear you very well!'
Granger just smiled and shook his head.
Heavy sigh. 'The ringing stopped a little while ago. I just wanted to mess with you for a bit. No hard feelings, right?' Hetty asked.
'None taken.'
