Another stressful day had ended, and Hetty was struggling to get to sleep.
'I'm sooo tired, why can't I shut off my brain?!' She moaned.
'Well, I got the humidifier going, maybe that'll help?' Granger asked, trying to help.
'Not really, everything is just spinning in my head nonstop!'
'Maybe tea? Maybe warm milk? Just, give me a hint of something and I'll help!'
'I don't know! Can you think of something?' Hetty pleaded.
Granger pondered for a bit, and then had an idea.
'When I see you, I feel at peace. Because I know that when I am with you, I will always be safe. I will always be safe.' He sang.
Hetty was stunned, and also felt calmer.
'That's very lovely. Can you keep it going?' She asked.
So, Granger kept improvising on the song, and Hetty fell asleep with a smile on her face.
The next morning.
'You sing good.' Hetty said when she woke up.
'Thanks. It was the best I could come up with in such a short time.' Granger replied.
'If you'll let me, maybe I could sing for you sometime?'
'I'd love that.'
