8. The Party

It was now 6:30 so I wanted to start getting ready. First thing, picking out my outfit. I went to my closet and found a red and black plaid skirt, a black short sleeved crop top and my leather jacket. Going to my jewelry box I pulled out a few different length chain necklaces and a few of my favorite rings. I set them aside and went to do my hair and makeup first. Again I did the black eyeliner also adding some gray/black shadow blush and some mascara. Lastly, I put on some lip gloss.

For my hair I decided to spray a bit of hairspray on it and fluff it up a bit, then pulled the right side of my hair back a bit and pinned that up with my bangs being pushed towards my left side slightly hanging over my left eye. I walked out of the bathroom to my bed where I placed my clothes out and got dressed. I should have gotten dressed before I did my hair. I definitely hope I don't mess it up. I ran back to the bathroom and spirits on some honey lavender spray that I love and I then grabbed socks and my combat boots and I was ready to go. Grabbing my small black bag I ran up the stairs. My mom was just about to leave for work when she saw me.

"Going out?" She asked with a smile
"Yeah Nancy invited me to a party."
"Ok well have fun and be safe." She said looking me in the eyes.
"I promise I will mom."
"Ok I'll see you tomorrow night then unless I need to pick up another shift." She said, sounding tired.
"Don't kill yourself working all the time ."I said a bit concerned.
"Don't worry Jade, I'm just trying to get more into our savings. You will graduate this year." She says with a smile.
"Planning on us going somewhere?" I say with a smile.
"I was thinking maybe Florida."
My eyes lit up. "Disney?" I say.
"Maybe." My mom says with a smile on her face.
"Alright , love you mom."
"Love you too" she say kissing my forehead and walking to the door.

It was now 7:20 pm so I still had time till Eddie got here. Feeling nervous about seeing him again I decided to roll a joint and have a quick smoke. After rolling it I grabbed my keys, walked outside and locked the door behind me. I sit on one of the chairs on my porch, lit it up and waited for Eddie to get here.

I don't know what it is but he makes my insides melt. I'm not use to that. Just him talking makes it hard for me to focus, I get nervous and he makes my heart race all in good ways. I love but fear this feeling. I just don't want to get attached to someone so fast, it didn't end well the last time. But I can already see that Eddie is different and every time I'm around him I just feel safe. Just from seeing him around the past few years he seems like a goofy fun loving guy. I sigh and finish my joint flicking into the bushes. Just as I was getting a cigarette out I see Eddie's van pull up. He parks it in front of my house and heads over to me. I see he's wearing a pair of dark ripped jeans with a chin on the side a black shirt and his leather jacket. As always he's still wearing all of his rings and hes looking really good tonight, but when doesn't he look good.

"Well look at this lovely lady." He says his eyes going up and down my body as I stand up.
"Glad you like it." I say blushing a bit.
"So I'll take it your all ready."
"Yep, hey do you wanna take my car?" I ask him.
"Only if you drive, I wanna see how you handle a stick." He says with a devilish grin. " I'll drive it back if you want."
"Deal." I say smiling. " Let's go then." I grab his hand and head to my car. When I let his hand go he opens my car door for me and I give him a quick peck on the cheek. He smiles at me and shuts the door when I'm in. I buckle myself in waiting for him to get in and start up the car. He gets in, buckles up and looks over at me.

"Ready when you are princess."

I backed the car out of the driveway and took off down the street. Steve lives like 4 blocks away so it wasn't a long drive. And we were there before we knew it. I parked the car and we both got out then I tossed the keys to him.
