TW flashback

EDDIE POV

We get to Jade house and walk to the front door she unlocks it and goes in when I get in I shut the door and turn around to see Jade just sitting on the couch staring at the wall. She wasn't moving or anything, just staring. It didn't look like when she has a flashback so I went over and sat next to her. She still didn't move, and I didn't even see her blink. I put my hand on her thigh and look into her eyes, they seamed glassy and like she wasn't there.

"Jade?" I say. Still nothing
"Hey Jade." I say again and squeeze her thigh .
She finally looks over at me and blinks.
"Um.. yeah."
"Are you ok, because it looked like you just checked out for a bit."
"Yeah I'm ok, just lost in my own thoughts."

It didn't look that way but I let it go. I don't want to push her to tell me anything she's isn't comfortable with. I pull her into me and she rests her head on my shoulder. I need to think of something to do to help her, but im not sure what I can do.

JADE

My head is resting on Eddie's shoulder. I can't believe I just totally zoned out in front of him. I was feeling so numb and detached for just a bit. I sigh, life is definitely getting more complicated and I just want things to settle down and to be happy. I can feel my eyes start to sting a bit. Fuck I don't want to cry I'm so tired of crying. I breath in deep and let it out.

"Hey." Eddie says softly
"Yeah." I say pulling away and looking up at him.
"Want to invite everyone over and order a pizza, might be good to have some company over."
I think for a second and that actually does sound like a good idea.
"Yeah that might help me." I say giving him a little smile.
"Would you like me to call them for you?" He asks
"No it's ok I'll do it."

I get up and go to the phone, first person I call is Monica , but there was no answer.. maybe she's at Dans. I try his number but his dad answers and tells me they went out so I told him to just let them know I called. I dial Nancy's number next and Mike picks up.
"Hey Mike." I say after he answers.
"Hey Jade what's up?"
"I wanna get everyone together at my house tonight for pizza and a movie. I know it's a school night but I could really use the company." I tell him.
"Yeah, Nancy will be home soon so I'll ask her and I can call Dustin and Lucas on the walkie."
"Sounds good I can call Max, Steve and Robin."
"Ok what time do you want us over?" He asks
"6 and I'll just order a few pizzas right before that so we all don't have to wait long to eat."
"Ok see you then." Mike says

I hang up and call Max next she answers and says yes she'll get a ride over and be here soon. Next is Robin she says she will call Steve and that he shouldn't be working tonight. Then I remember the party on Saturday.
"Oh my god Robin I meant to tell you earlier but I saw Steve and Nancy at the party on Saturday making out."
"WHAT, he didn't even say anything to me about it."
"Will have to see how they act when they come over." I tell her.
"I can't wait I'll see you soon." she says and hangs up.

Already I'm starting to feel a bit better knowing almost all my friends are coming over.

"Well it sounds like almost everyone is coming over." Eddie says
"Yeah I just wish I could of gotten ahold of Monica and Dan. I would of liked them to hangout with everyone." I say a bit disappointed.
"It's ok I'm sure they will all meet soon, so do you have drinks like soda or something?"
"Shit, no." I say
"I'll run out now and grab a few."
"Pick up some beer to please I could use a drink."
"You got it." Eddie says then turns  around and walks out the front door.

I pick up the living room a bit while he's gone and make sure the table in the living room has room for pizza and drinks. I grab some cups and set them on the kitchen table so we can poor the drinks in here then bring them to the living room. I stop in the middle of doing everything and think how lucky I am to have real friends drop what they are doing and come over to see me because I really need them. I start to feel a bit sad that I ever started to pull away from them but grateful that they don't hold it again me. Sometimes you are your worst enemy .
