Waking up before Eddie who was passed out beside you on his front,  hair slightly covering his face as he snores with his mouth open and face squished against his arm.
It was the big anniversary of your dad's passing,hearing your mom already awake you slowly get out of bed to let Eddie sleep, making your way out of your bedroom and down the hall to your mom's room, lightly knocking on the half open door waiting for her

"Mom...?"
You say rubbing the sleep from your eyes
"Come in hun"
She responds, you push open the door and walk inside, seeing your mom sitting at her vanity finishing off her lipstick
"Morning , everything alright?"
She asked looking at you from the mirror, you nod and sit on the end of her bed
"...Is it ok if I come with you today..."
You ask her a little nervous as you didn't know what she'd say, she's always gone to these things alone.
She slowly put down her lipstick and turns around on the stool

"For the talk?"
She asks,placing her hands into her lap, you nodded
"Yeah, I think it would be good to go with you...and for me also"
You add looking down at your hands,your mom gets up off the stool and sits beside you, holding your hand with both of hers.
"Of course you can come sweetheart, your not forced to say anything If you don't want, you can just sit and listen that's fine"
She spoke softly tucking hair behind your ear
"Are you ok, mom?"
You ask putting your hand ontop of hers and looking at her, she smiles a little and nods
"...I'm alright...I have you and Ed"
She replies nudging shoulders with you making you smile.

"When do we have to leave?"
You asked, she looks over at the alarm clock
"We've got  2 hours, plenty time for breakfast"
She replies turning back to you patting your hand before walking  over to her vanity again.
"It's ok if Eddie comes along?"
You say standing up
"Course hun, is he up yet?"
She asked putting in her earrings
"No, he's still zonked out, hibernating"
You added giggling a little at the last part and your mom smiled
"I'm gonna make some coffee and wake him up in a bit"
You add giving her a smile skipping over to the door closing it half way behind you

tiptoe running back to your room, peeking your head in to see Eddie still sleeping but he had rolled over with his arm across your side of the bed, you smile closing the door quietly letting him sleep and head downstairs into the kitchen.
Putting on the kettle waiting for it to boil then pouring your mom a cup
"......We can share I'm not making two trips"
You say out loud to yourself grabbing a bigger mug from the cupboard and pouring more coffee then carefully carrying the two hot mugs back upstairs

"Coffee deliveryyy"
You say opening your mom's door with your foot then walk inside
"Thank youuu"
Your mom replies with a smile carefully taking her mug from you
"I'll go wake him up now"
You tell her and she nods having a sip of coffee, making your way back to your bedroom quietly open the door to see Eddie awake, kinda, he was still dozy but he opened one eye seeing you walk back into the room
"Wakey wakey"
You whisper carefully sitting on the bed.

He waves with a floppy hand and rolls ontop his back yawning stretching his arms out then sitting up, you giggle a little at how EXTRA messy his hair was making him turn towards you with a sleepy confused stare
