Chapter 100.

It had been a bit over three months since the trip to Fortville, finding Eddie's mom and meeting Junneth, things ended on a more happier note for Eddie because of her.
Though, he was still grieving, for the most part he'd been doing so closed off and not really letting himself breakdown, not infront of you anyway, despite how things ended after staying with Junneth and learning what he had..the first few nights being back home you could hear him sniffling, crying in the bathroom over the running shower and trying to be quiet, it broke your heart, truly.
Eddie had always been the type to keep most of his feelings bottled up, he didn't like talking about them, he'd only ever been able to open up now and then to you, he used his uncle as more of a shoulder when he was younger..someone to hold him, rather than speak how he felt about things.

Then there was the other side of Eddie grieving.. the side that, well.. was his way of dealing with a lot of his problems, a way he'd been used to for years now, how it got his mind off things, that being he'd sort of slipt back into doing bits for Rick, dealing with his feelings by..dealing, literally.
He didn't keep it from you this time, not wanting it to go the way it did last time, one night after he'd come home rather late from work, he'd asked you to come into the bedroom you both shared after he'd had his shower and got ready for bed, on the floor was a duffel bag that contained much smaller plastic bags of weed, it wasn't completely full, it was a much smaller lot than the last time.
He explained that he'd been late coming home because after his shift he'd gone right over to Rick's place, smoked a bit..and also picked up that lot to sell, he'd bought it off Rick as one lot, and he then explained that he'd be selling it off himself, not for Rick, but then showed you a few other small bags containing pills..those he was selling for Rick and got a small percentage.

The last time he'd had a lot of gear in the apartment, it caused a giant argument between the both of you, but by the end of it he'd promised he would only handle weed which you didn't mind, the other stuff..the pills and syringes, those were scary..Not for any other reason but the thought of him getting caught carrying them, or having his van searched..finding more than weed would get him in so much trouble, a big chance he'd be put away instead of being given a warning and a fine to pay, maybe having to do some community service, but you trusted that he'd never personally use anything other than the weed.
When he showed you those smaller pill bags, your heart still dropped a bit..he promised he'd not deal in that, he said that there's only the five small bags he's doing for Rick, no more, just getting rid of those 5 like he'd been asked and for each one he got a small bit of cash.

He said that he owed Reefer a favour from a while back, it just so happened that selling off a few bags of pills was what Reefer asked of him for that owed favour, after those were all gone he was left with his own weed to bag up and sell for whatever he wanted, to whoever was interested, and you believed him.
You knew that HE knew what he was doing, he'd been doing it before he was even legal to drive a van...But it was still scary, especially with the mind set he'd been in since getting home from Fortville, with the coming to terms that his mom is really gone, he'd been jumped and robbed once  before, you'd cleaned his bloody face yourself...
Had his deals done with far too many violent individuals and groups of people who thought they'd threaten him for more gear but Eddie not breaking and standing his ground doesn't take shit from anyone, he wasn't easily spooked or intimidated, he'd fight if need be, protect himself..he'd been doing so since he was a kid.

So that being said, there was an even bigger worry in the back of your mind that because he wasn't in a great mind space..he'd flip if one of his deals went wrong and someone tried anything, worrying that he'd just explode and get into A dangerously big fight.
But of course, he'd reassured you more than once that he knew what he was doing, and that he'd be just fine, he didn't reassure in a belittling or snappy way, it was genuine and.. sweet, you could tell by the way his voice softened and the way he looked at you with reassuring eyes, though you'd always still worry about him, and he knew that but he still did a good job to ease you about it all. Just a bit.
