You'd get good and bad nights with how much sleep you got, tonight was a rough one, only managing 2 hours till you wake up unable to get yourself back to sleep, it wasn't always bad dreams keeping you awake though it's the main cause half the time,You'd also just not manage to fall asleep even if you wake up at 3am your brains fully alert like it's time to get up and start the day.

It was 3:10, laying awake for about 20 minutes till you actually decide to get up, slowly as to not wake Eddie passed out beside you and trying not to stumble over anything and wake him up, there was a street light outside your bedroom window that's constantly on so it illuminated the room just slightly.
Quietly picking up Eddie's cigarettes from the nightstand and making your way out of the bedroom closing the door behind you with a soft click, and flicking on just the livingroom lamp. It filled the apartment with subtle warm cozy amber light enough to also slightly shine into the kitchen that was connected to your living area, illuminating the edges of the cupboards with it's warm glow, their shape clear, even without having all the apartment lights on this early in the morning.
Walking over to the coffee maker sorting a new filter out and putting in water before flicking it on, you took a seat up on the counter opening the window above the sink just a little so you could flick your cigarette ash out of it. You only had two windows in the main front part of the apartment, one above the sink which looked out onto the car park scattered with only a couple vehicles, the bigger of them all was just beside the TV with the same view, the bedroom had one beside the bed on Eddie's side and a smaller one high up in the bathroom.
You sat on the counter having a smoke staring out of the window into the carpark.
