"How long has it been...?"
Dustin asked looking at you  with a sad expression, then over at his normal spot with Hellfire, he came over to say hi when he saw you sitting alone in the cafeteria

"3 months. Feels like 3 years."
You reply looking over at the table, He seemed happy, in a way more happy since things drifted apart. He turns to you still smiling at whatever the group said, which slowly fades when his eyes met yours, it felt like things turned slow motion in that moment, it felt like that was the first time he had ever looked at you,noticed you...
He kept the stare for a moment

before you had to look away down at your untouched tray of food, still feeling his eyes on you till he gets pulled back into the table.
Dustins name gets called by someone at hellfire

"It's ok. You should go to them"
You say smiling though you were hurting,so bad, but you didn't want to show it, besides he was ok without you, he's smiling, laughing with friends.
Unbothered your years of friendship and being best friends since childhood has ended, and now you're nothing but strangers who pass in the school corridors,the local grocery store, in the street...

You get woken up by cold drips tapping the side of your face,  your eyes open slightly still half asleep
"What the hell-?"
You mumble rolling over not knowing what time day or year it was, damn that was a hard sleep, and dream...

You rub your eyes and adjust to the light, Eddie was standing over you with his hands together holding something
"Eddie...?"
You ask confused mixed with still being tired as fuck
"I made you a snowman"
He smiled, you rubbed your eyes again and slowly sat up in bed
"A what...?"
You reply looking at his hands, he kneels down to reveal a small little snowman,if you could call it that, melting In his hands.
You chuckle slightly though it was more like air being blown out of your nose

"Do you like him? I named him Ozzy"
He said smiling proudly, you shook your head smiling at how childish he can be at times, you kneeled up on your bed and gently took...Ozzy, out of Eddie's hands trying not to break him as he was extra fragile from melting.
"You need to put Ozzy outside , Eddie. He'll die"
You say walking over to your window trying not to sound morbid.
Eddie lifts your window up and you gently place the little snowman on your window ledge on some snow.
"There you go little guy"
You say smiling, looking out into the street from your window at how much it had snowed overnight

"...wow"
"Yuuup, it's pretty bad out"
Eddie said scooping up some snow from your window ledge trying to act like you don't see him do it
"Don't even think about it Munson"
You say raising your eyebrows
"...what?"

He smirked and steps closer to you, you back up against the wall keeping your eyes on Eddie's hands
"Put that down"
You say nodding to the snow, he smirked and shrugged
"...ok sure"
He replied lunging at you, the snow going down the front of your shirt making you squirm around and shriek from the cold.
"Eddieeeee!"
You shout shaking your shirt out
"You didn't specify WHERE I should put it"
He said smirking like he was a smart ass, you smile at him sarcastically and push his shoulder playfully 

"I'll get you back, you just wait"

You say walking out of your room and into the bathroom. Eddie smiled flopping onto your bed and turning on the tv, the news was the first thing that came on and you overheard it from the bathroom
"Hawkins has its first bad snow in years,with most people stuck indoors it is advised that driving in this condition be held off till roads have been properly cleared."   
The news reporter spoke,you walked back into your room

"Did you walk here?"
You said to Eddie spread out on your bed, he nodded
"Yeah, it's pretty bad out but people are clearing the sidewalk and things, probably be a few hours till cars are back on the roads though"
He says stretching, you pat his legs for him to move over, he does and you flop back down on your front beside him.
"...can we go outsideeee"
Eddie said giving you puppy eyes

"Such a kid, honestly"
You say smiling at him wanting to play in the snow
"Pleeeeeeease"
He whined laying his head in your hands

You look down at him and smile, pulling one of your hands out from under his head and squish his cheeks together
"Yes, we can go play in the snow, you big child"
You giggle and Eddie smiles with squished cheeks.
