Joanne Jackson, 21, takes a new job as a fashion designer for the up and coming band Panic! At The Disco, along side her sister, Alexandra in late 2012. But it's when Joanne starts to fall in love with Brendon, that's when it all unravels.
Alex and Kimberly walked in with a CVS bag. I stared at them in confusion. I sat back on the brown couch in Alex's living room. When they entered, Jada and Lottie raised their eyebrows, "what the fuck did you get, Alexandra?"
"Don't be such a cunt," she began and pulled a few boxes out of the bag, "I have a fun little party game. We'll all take pregnancy tests!"
I got up and grabbed the tests put of her hand, "none of us are pregnant."
"That we know of." Alex said and took the box from me. I scoffed and she handed me a test, "so, write your initials on the back of your test after you're done peeing on it and set it down on the counter.. Place it anywhere."
I grabbed a sharpie, plotting down my initials. JMJ. Joanne Margret "Maggie" Jackson. Ew.
Alex grabbed my arm and shoved me into the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet, peeing on the stick. Then, I put the cap back on and set my test down.
I walked out. Sitting on my phone and Brendon was mass texting me. I went into my messages and stared at the texts;

I pressed the call button and walked outside, shutting the door behind me. He answered right away, "oh, hey you. Was just thinkin' about you."
"You busy?"
"Just started streaming," He began, but I heard him shuffling and a door closing, "what's up?"
"Alex is making us do this stupid party game where we all take pregnancy tests."
I heard him chuckle on the other end, "that's fun."
"Brendon."
"I mean...it's not fun! Noo, no pregnancy tests."
I heard his voice mocking me and I chuckled. The glass door tapped and Alex was demanding I come in. I sighed, "sorry, Alex needs me inside."
"Don't worry, darling."
"I love you."
"I love you."
I ended the call and Alex opened the door for me and I walked in. She shut it behind me and I looked at the time. Ten minutes has already passed? Alex held the cup with the tests in it and randomly pulled one out, "not pregnant."
I sat down on the couch. She flipped the test around, "Lottie is not pregnant."
She pulled another test out and flipped it, "i'm not pregnant."
Another one, "Jada is not pregnant."
Another, "Kimberly is not pregnant."
What am I freaking out for? I'm not pregnant. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and fanned myself off, "Jojo is...."
Fuck.
"Wait," Alex mumbled and showed the test to everyone else, "Jojo's pregnant."
I furrowed my eyebrows and got up. Grabbing the test from her, "can't be."
I turned the test around, jmj. Shit. It was mine. What the fuck? I held the test in my hand and I could feel the room spinning, the sweat dripping, the air becoming thicker, "Jo-"
"Stop, Alex. She's gonna fuckin' pass out!" Kimberly stated and dragged me outside. I stared at the test and my eyes filled to the brim with tears.
"Are you okay? Isn't this what you want?"
"Not this fast.."
"You're gonna be a great mom," she began, "brendon'll be a great dad."
I took a deep breath, "I can't do this, Keeks."
"Sure you can," She began ad wrapped her arm around my shoulders, "you've got me and Alex. Lottie and Jada. Everyone will be here for you, love."
Those words affirmed me and Lottie, Jada and Alex walked outside. Alex kneeled in front of me, Jada sat on my right side and Lottie stood behind Alex. Alex rested her hand on my knee, "this is the only time i'll be a good sibling."
"Alex-" Lottie said and slapped her arm.
"Okay," Alex began, "in all seriousness, we're here for you. You'll be okay."
"I love you guys."
We all got up, "now go home and tell your man."
I nodded my head and grabbed my keys and my purse. I tossed the test in my pocket and drove like mad down the highway to my house.
I parked in the driveway. Rushing to get inside. I tossed my purse on the bench by the steps. If he was livestreaming, he was in his studio. I ran to the studio and knocked on the door, "one sec, love!"
I walked into the living room and I heard the door open. His footsteps echoed through the house and I saw him enter the living room, "what's up?"
Oh no. I could feel the stomach acid finding it way to make me feel sick. Or was it throw up from this pregnancy?
"Babe. What's wrong?"
"I—I think we should sit for this."
Oh man, he probably thought I was going to end things with him. I sat down on the couch and Brendon glided next to me, "don't make me wait, I can't."
I took a deep breath and pulled the test put of my pocket. I twirled it around in my hands and closed my eyes, "i'm pregnant."
He furrowed his eyebrows as I set the test in his hand. He pulled it closer to his face but I pulled it away, "don't—put it so close to your face. My piss is on there."
He jerked his head back and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, "it wasn't close to my face-"
"Just look at it."
He sighed and stared at it. The two pink lines were very visible, "oh wow."
"What?"
"I'm...i'm speechless." He said and chuckled, handing the test back to me, "this is great, darling."
The test sat in my lap and I bit the inside of my cheek. He wrapped his arm around me, "we've got this."
"I know," I began, "I just don't want the world to know yet."
"And then won't," he began and got up, "you can come in for a minute to tell them why I was gone."
I nodded and walked with Brendon. I stood with the door crack and I watched through, "sorry guy's. My lady just got home. Had to greet her with a kiss, ya know."
I smiled softly and closed the door quietly behind me. I felt a sense of relief. I picked the test up again and carried it with me to our room. I set it down on the dresser. Staring at it again. I was still in shock.
I laid in bed, knowing Brendon wouldn't be in bed until five in the morning. I tossed and turned, struggling to help my nausea come down. This is the life I want. And I was ready.
