I sat in the car, outside of Alex's apartment. I was waiting for her to come outside and join me at the sonogram appointment to see how far along I am. She's also getting a sonogram to see how far along she is too. I glanced out of the passenger window, seeing Jesse walk Alex out of the house and kissing her goodbye. The bliss of a somewhat new romance. I watched as Alex waved goodbye to him and he watched her get into my car. I stared at her and she took a double look at me, "what?"

I shrugged and started the car, pressing on the gas and putting it in drive, "nothing."

Alex set her purse down onto the ground in front of her. I turned the radio on to cancel out the silence that was always so loud. I was nervous for the sonogram. I don't know why. Every sonogram i've had has gone well. Brendon wasn't able to make this one, which, kind of hurt, but it was okay. He had the kids at the studio with him. He was busy writing songs that could go on his next possible album.  I could tell Alex was nervous. She's never had a kid before, so she's come to me for help and assistance with everything.

I pulled into a parking spot. Alex and I unbuckled and grabbed our purses. We met each other behind the car. I nodded my head and we walked side by side into the building. I held the door open for Alex and she waited for me in the lobby as I walked in after her. I walked up to the desk and the receptionist gave me her attention, "Hi, appointment for Joanne Urie and Alexandra Jackson."

The receptionist typed for a bit, then looked up at Alex and I, "she will call you back in a few minutes. She's currently in a meeting right now, but, it should be finishing in about five minutes."

I nodded my head and turned back around. I walked over to the lobby chairs, sitting down and setting my purse on the ground. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and opened it, looking at the missed notifications, "Jo."

I didn't look up from my phone and started scrolling through social media, "hm?"

"I think Jesse's going to propose soon." Alex stated.

I looked up from my phone and quickly at her. My eyebrows furrowed and I was frozen, sort of, "what'd you just say?"

Alex sighed, "I think Jesse is going to propose."

"He cant," I began and looked back at my phone, "we just met him."

"you and Brendon-"

I set my phone down and glared at her, "Brendon and I knew each other for a while."

"Joanne, Jesse and I have been dating for two years."

I dropped my mouth open and furrowed my eyebrows once more, "t-two years?! How the actual fuck did you get away with that?"

"Joanne and Alexandra?"

The both of us shot our attention to our obgyn/sonogramer. We grabbed our things and followed her back to the room. I took a deep breath as I walked down the hallway, following each and every footstep she took. I glanced at Alex. She was extremely nervous. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly. She looked over at me and sent me a soft smile.

The sonogramer opened the door and let us in. She closed the door behind her when she walked in and sat down on a chair, "I'm Dr. Poole. Who is going first? Actually—what brings you in?"

I glanced behind me, making sure there was a seat there, "both of us had positive pregnancy tests."

Dr. Poole nodded her head and I sat in the chair behind me. She guided Alex to lay down and lift her shirt up, but push her pants a bit downward. Dr. Poole pressed along her stomach softly, scanning for a baby. And there it was. Alex gasped, looked at me and looked back, "well, congratulations. You are definitely pregnant. I would say about seven-ish weeks."
