I dressed in a white dress, that ball gowned at the end. It had a pattern that wasn't quite noticeable on it. I held a small silver hand bag and my shoes were glittered. Brendon stood next to me. He wore an all white suit, with a black undershirt and black shoes. His sunglasses hung off the pocket of his jacket. When we were motioned to go onto the red carpet, his hand gently placed on my lower back. He guided me along the red carpet. Flashing lights glaring in my face, but I still faked a smile. I was praying the makeup artist covered the bruise on my body, and that the camera's would hide it, "Brendon! Jackson! Over here!"
"She has a name!" Brendon yelled back and we turned to pose for a different camera. I smiled lightly and tilted my head on his shoulder, capturing a moment that'll kill me in the end. Keaton hates this, but Brendon made me feel a sense of safety, "how are you feeling Miss Jackson, everything good?"
"Fine, Brendon," I whispered in his ear, "can we sit?"
We took a few more pictures and he guided me off of the red carpet, where we were going to be interviewed, "speaking of panic. Here we have Brendon Urie, the lead singer of Panic at the Disco. How are we today?" The lady flirted. I felt a sense of rage, but Brendon kept his hand around my hip. I wasn't with him romantically but it made me angry.
"We're good, ready as ever to perform here."
"I see you've got a beauty on your hip, is she your girlfriend? The women are dying to know."
"Uh no, Miss Jackson is my clothing designer, but tonight she's my date," he began and looked at me, with lust in his eyes, "i mean look at her."
"Well, she is indeed beautiful," the lady began, "well it was great seeing the two of you, you guys look stunning and we can't wait to hear you sing tonight."
We both smiled and walked away. He let go of my waist and his hand brushed against mine. My instinct was to take a hold of it, and I did. Brendon held it back and guided me up the steps to the palace looking building.
We sat down at our designated seats. My pinky grazed Brendon's hand and I wanted to take it, but it would get viewed on national television and I feared that Keaton would see it. It felt like we were together behind closed doors, but in the publics eyes, we weren't. I took a deep breath and Brendon looked at me with a smile. I felt tears water along the rim of my eye and I faked a smile toward him, "and the award for best pop punk song of 2013 goes to..."
The moment everyone had been waiting for. Between Fall out Boy, Twenty one pilots, Panic at the Disco and My Chemical Romance. Time went slow for a moment, "Miss Jackson By Panic at the Disco!"
I shot up at the same moment Brendon did. We embraced each other tightly. He kissed the side of my face and let go of me. For a moment we stared in each others eyes and I drowned out all of the noise. I was lost in his eyes and I felt all of this love and lust in an instant. I snapped out of it and shoved him so he could go up and get his award. He ran up the steps and hugged everyone on the stage and took the award hesitantly, "oh, wow."
I stared at him in pure adoration. My hands against my lips and I smiled, "This award means everything to me—uhm and I'd like to thank the person I made this song about and the producers and the rest of the band that couldn't join us. And of course, My clothing designer, Miss Joanne Jackson for the outfits in the video."
He walked down and came back to the seats and sat next to me. He hugged me again and showed the award to me, "wonderful isn't it?"
"i'm proud of you."
He smiled at me and set the award in his lap.
Shortly after he patted my back and hurried back stage to get ready to sing. I had no idea what song he was going to sing. We all stood up and the music began playing. I Write Sins not Tragedies. I started dancing a little bit and he began singing, "oh, well imagine—as i'm pacing the pews in a church corridor and I can't help but to hear, no i can't help but to head an exchanging of words."
