I set plates down in front of the kids. Freddie and Bella laid in their portable bassinet. I walked by them, double checking to make sure that they were okay. I handed Clover and River juice, then gave Daphne a bottle of water. I took a deep breath, "when you finish and when your brother and sister finish, clean them up and get their shoes and bags on. I'll grab your stuff, okay?"

Daphne nodded her head as she ate her food. I rushed out of the kitchen and up the steps. I dusted my hands off, opened the bedroom door. I walked in, seeing Brendon still asleep on the bed. I scoffed and walked up the bed and shoved him, "Brendon, get up."

He groaned and shoved my hands away as he turned on his other side. I sighed heavily and tugged at the blankets, "seriously, Brendon. This isn't funny. You have an AA meeting today."

He didn't move. I rolled my eyes and yanked the blanket off of him. Brendon shot up and ran his fingers through his hair, "I don't need a goddamn alcoholics anonymous meeting, okay Joanne? I'm—I'm fine."

I walked over to his dresser and grabbed a black t-shirt with black skinny jeans. I turned back around and tossed it at him, "get your ass up and downstairs in five minutes."

I walked past the bed and opened the bedroom door. I heard Brendon mumbling under his breath as I walked down the hallway. I rushed down the steps. I peeked into the kitchen and it seemed Daphne had taken the kids upstairs to get them cleaned up. I strolled the portable carriers into the living room and sat down next to them. I put my black boots on and grabbed the jacket from my side and slid my arms into the sleeves. I adjusted the collar of the jacket. I had two bottles by me, and just as I suspected, Bella was crying. I got up, picked her up carefully and held her in my arms. I squatted down a bit, grabbed her bottle and fed her. Rocking side to side. I could see Daphne with Clover and River walking down the steps. Bella was non-stop feeding. I didn't have time. Thankfully, Brendon walked downstairs. He peaked into the living room, "hey, can you please take them to daycare and school before your meeting? Bella just started to eat and...and I don't know how long she'll be feeding for."

Brendon nodded his head, "done. I got you."

I took a deep breath. Relief crashing over me. I glanced down at Bella and watched as she kept eating. I walked around the house, Brendon scanning every move I made and he swung his keys around his fingers, "what's wrong? What're you nervous for?"

I shrugged lightly and looked away from Bella, "that I might be late for the twins check-up. Im scared somethings wrong with Freddie and that cough he's had."

Brendon took a breath and coughed a bit, "couldve just gotten sick. Theres three other children in the house."

I raised an eyebrow and Bella finally let go of the bottle. I walked back to the portable carrier and set Bella down gently after I set the bottle down. Brendon walked into the living room and leaned against the wall, "have you seen my inhaler, darling? My chest's a little tight today."

I looked up at the ceiling with my hands on my hips. I tapped my foot and thought for a moment, "try your nightstand drawer. I know I keep one there for you."

Brendon furrowed his eyebrows, "you keep an extra inhaler?"

I nodded my head and looked at him, crossing my arms, "yeah. I mean, god forbid you don't have yours and you desperately need it. I got your back."

"Alright," he began and nodded his head toward his side, "come and kiss me."

I walked up to him and put my hands on the collar of his jacket, playing with it. Brendon pulled my hair behind my shoulder and I pulled him in by his collar and kissed him. I could feel him smirk a bit through the kiss before I pulled away to look at him, "i hope the appointment goes well."
