Q and A

Lance stumbled out of the healing pod and sank to his knees. He sighed as he pulled the sling off and folded it carefully.

"Thanks Blue." He whispered before he pushed himself up. He glanced outside the cockpit to see the Avengers talking to a man in a long black coat.

The conversation didn't seem friendly.

I believe he wants to meet you.

Lance frowned and flexed his hand letting his Bayard come to him. "Should I armour up?"

Your armour is back with these strangers.

Lance groaned. "I forgot."

Stay close and I will protect you.

"I don't doubt that." Lance smiled patting the wall. "Let's go see what these guys want."

As Blue leaned down Lance knew he had the attention of the group, he slowly exited the ramp letting his Bayard vanish.

He offered an awkward wave. "Hi."

"Hey kid." Tony smiled, but it seemed a little tense. "This is Fury, this is his ship."

"The floating thing in the sky is your ship." Lance nodded. "Got it, what can I do for you Fury?"

"I have questions to ask you but I want to be sure you're not lying." Fury admitted raising an eyebrow at Lance. "We will use a simple lie detector on you, so follow me."

"Can't we do it here?" Lance asked knowing how childish he sounded but he didn't want to leave Blue.

"Why?" Fury frowned.

Lance gestured back to his lion. "I want to stay with Blue."

Fury was quiet for a moment his eye patch twitched before he nodded. "Alright, we'll move it out here."

Lance sat on the tarmac floor of the ship next to Blue as he waited. He would prefer to be flying or sleeping, or just plain out of here, but he understood their concerns.

He met Thor's gaze and offered a minute smile. Thor matched it and walked over sitting next to him.

"You are a strange young one." Thor admitted. "You have a giant pet lion and the ability to talk to her, correct?"

Lance nodded. "Yeah, it's a telepathic link."

"I can talk to my hammer." Thor smiled lifting it up. "It does not speak back but I can sense it."

Lance smiled. "That's pretty cool."

"Aye, that and I can summon lightning to my aid in battle."

"That's awesome." Lance grinned. "Blue can shoot ice when I need it."

"She is a ship, yes?"

"Yeah."

"Fascinating, you will permit me onboard one day, yes?"

I like this one.

Lance nodded. "Blue likes you."

"She does?" Thor asked glancing back at her. "Well I like you very much too, you are a beautiful creature."

Blue roared loudly making Thor jump, Lance laughed covering his mouth as his shoulders shook.

Thor looked genuinely concerned.

"Alright Blue, let's not scare the guy." Lance smirked. "Roaring isn't exactly a sign you're happy."

"I have not offended her have I?"
