With the Avengers gone it became clear that they couldn't all abandon their earth and universe just to come on a trip with Lance.

Bucky called Wakanda, they would provide their support in times of trouble.

Scott, Hope and Maria were going to stay in their universe.

But before Lance could call to Blue about making a way back, he had people to call.

"You okay?" Wanda asked standing next to him.

"Are they coming?" Lance asked softly.

"I'm sure they will be." She said with a smile. "They've had a rough time recently but they've always answered the call."

Lance crossed his arms. "I left without saying goodbye twice."

"That wasn't your fault, not on either occasion." Wanda reminded.

Lance offered her a half smile, it was small but it was real and he knew she could feel that. "You're a really good person, I hope you know that."

Wanda smiled. "And you're a good friend."

Lance sighed. "This isn't going to be easy."

"What? Finding the Avengers?"

"No," Lance whispered, "this conversation is long over due."

"They love you." Wanda reminded. "You know that right?"

The car pulled up and Flash got out. He grinned brightly up at the Avengers base.

"I wonder what the Avengers needs from us."

"The Avengers are gone." Miles reminded.

"Yeah, but there's still Avengers in the building, just because the original 6 are gone."

Gwen didn't like this. She glanced up at the building and felt a chill wash over her. Like Flash had said, what did the Avengers need from them?

They stepped in and Friday's voice greeted them. It seemed weird that Friday was still working while Tony was gone.

"Something is... Weird." Miles whispered as he froze at the threshold of the doorway.

Gwen could sense it too.

Venom had twisted himself around Flash, ready to protect if necessary.

Gwen took a soft breath and stepped towards the stairs. They needed answers.

The doors opened and there was-

"Lance." Gwen breathed.

Lance held her gaze. "Gwen."

She blinked. "You remember us?"

Lance gave that small lobsided smirk that he always offered. "Like the lions were going to let me forget."

"You're here?"

"Yeah, just found out about the Avengers." Lance nodded. "Guys I, I wanted to-"

Gwen crashed into his chest hugging him tightly, she lifted his feet off the floor.

Miles laughed behind her. "Gwen, put him down."

The moment Lance's feet were on the floor again Miles and Flash were there and Lance was caught in a mixture of spider strength and venom strength.

"Okay guys." Lance chuckled. "I missed you too."

"You have been gone for ages." Flash reminded finally letting go. "And the last time we saw you, you were dead."

Lance hummed. "Yeah, that happened."

"So the lions helped you to remember?"

"Yeah." Lance smiled. "Each one of them had a memory to add, now I have them all back and... And I'm here."

"How did you get here?" Gwen asked.

"Haggar." Lance explained with a sigh. "And that's why I called you, cause I'm going back."

"Already?" Flash looked so sad.

"Yeah," Lance rubbed the back of his neck, "I need Pidge to help us find the Avengers and I need to get back to help them with this fight."

Miles frowned. "So you're still in the fight?"

"I never left it." Lance shrugged. "I doubt it'll end any time soon, but I would rather it be me than anyone else."

"You're crazy." Gwen admitted. "How are you going to get back?"

Blue roared from somewhere within his consciousness but it vibrated through the building.

Then a glowing blue light appeared, a wormhole.

"Looks like it's time."

"We're coming with you." Gwen decided.

"If we all leave then who's gonna keep an eye on this place?" Flash asked sounding anxious.

"We'll stay." Miles offered. "Gwen can go with you."

Lance smiled. "Thanks guys."

"Who else is coming?"

"Wanda, Vision, Sam and Bucky." Lance shrugged. "And now you."

Gwen smirked at him feeling a sudden surge of adrenaline, she was excited. "Good, you need more women on your team."

"That we do." Lance agreed patting Miles' shoulder. "Keep this place running."

"You got it, Lance."

"Let's get the others and get out of here." Lance decided tapping his gauntlet, a message pinged across the screen and then Wanda was floating in.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, Gwen is coming with us." Lance nodded.

"He's been worrying all day that you'll hate him for leaving." Wanda explained standing next to Gwen.

"Oh I'm mad about it, but I can't hate him."

"Right here guys." Lance reminded but he was still smiling.

"Okay, I think we've got everything." Sam admitted as he and Bucky arrived. "Where's Vision?"

"Right behind you Falcon."

"Let's do this then." Lance stepped through the wormhole.

"Shields up!" Hunk called.

Lance rolled to one side lifting his shield to block the attack. "I'm back!"

"Stop disappearing." Keith growled as he ran past.

"Tell Haggar to stop shooting me!" Lance countered. "And I bought backup."

Wanda stepped through the portal, her hands and eyes glowing red. She twisted her hands and several sentries exploded at once.

Sam flew through blasting at the fighters soaring past.

Bucky blocked three shots with his arm then punched the sentry hard enough to snap its head from its body.

Gwen flipped up out of the way of a shot and then webbed two ships together, they spiralled and then crashed.

Vision blasted a whole row of sentries, wave after wave fell.

"Nice." Pidge grinned skidding to a stop next to him. "We need you up top."

"Be careful." Lance warned, then ran, his jetpack activated carrying him up.

He landed on one of the last remaining structures and let his Bayard form.

"Alright gang, let's do this."
