Chapter 1

Today was my first day living with my dad. Who's my dad you might ask? Tony Stark is, but maybe calling him my dad makes it sound like he was ever more to me than a card on birthdays and two visits a year. We're not close, but since I graduated and designed my own upgraded version of his suit, I've been invited to join his team. Well let's be clear, I am on a trial run and it wasn't even his idea. Nick Fury reached out to me with the idea and told me Tony wanted this but the silence made me think differently. I'd done research on the team, and by research I mean I broke into their databases and read their files. This was going to be awkward, meeting my sperm donors friends. I was in the elevator on my way to meet the entire team with Maria Hill standing quietly next to me. "Are you nervous?" she asked

"Nope, I'm a little concerned about Tony's reaction to me being here since he probably doesn't know."

"You call your dad Tony?"

"He always signed my birthday cards as Tony, not as dad so what else should I call him?"

"You'll do great with the team, I think you and Natasha will get along great but you might also like Thor and Bruce. Thor is funny and a little wild but Bruce is a genius, just don't make him mad." 

"Right, Bruce, he turns into a big green guy and Thor is the god."

"You did your research, good."

"Of course I did, I may not call him dad but I am still Tony Stark's daughter. I trust no one and research everything that I do. Plus Friday loves to talk if you ask the right questions."

"Friday? As in Tony's AI?"

"Yes, I hacked into his system to get information about everyone. I've already added myself to the database and I can control everything now too."

"Tony's going to lose his marbles."

"Maybe."

Why should I care about Tony's feelings when he clearly didn't care for mine all these years? I don't hate him, I actually want him to be in my life, I do but it's hard to care if it upsets him that I'm here or a part of this team. Sure maybe he was here first but I earned this just as much if not more than the rest of them. For years I struggled and I learned how to do everything Tony can on my own without a rich father to help me. I earned my place on this team and that was something Tony was going to have to accept. "Here's your floor, everyone is down here for a meeting so Fury can introduce you. I have a feeling that you don't struggle with first impressions." She gestured to my outfit made of tight black jeans, a black shirt and a black leather jacket.

I chuckled as I strutted out of the elevator and toward the living room in front of me. The closer I got the more people I could see and hear in the room. My heeled boots must've been a dead give away of my approach. "And here she comes now, team I'd like you to meet our new recruit, Mia. Mia meet the team." I stopped next to him with my arms crossed as I took in all the people in front of me. 

"Just Mia?" one man asked, Clint Barton aka Hawkeye

"Mia Stark." Fury announced

"Stark? As in Tony?" another man asked, Steve Rogers aka Captain America

"Unfortunately for me, yes. Tony is my father. Fury, where is he?"

"Running late as per usual."

"I'm sorry are we just going to breeze over Tony having a daughter?" a third man asked, Bruce Banner aka The Hulk

"Does Tony know you exist?" The woman asked, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow

"Yes, clearly he doesn't talk about me much or at all but he keeps in touch. Does he know I'm here, Fury?"
